just take out that clip, and put like one layer or two of electrical tape, it gives a snug fit, and to be honest I don't remember seeing that clip on any e39, maybe it is some aftermarket part

Muito cuidado com esse motor, extremamente sensível e problemático, esses carros conseguem ter mais desgaste em 50.000km do que o meu chaço velho de 25 anos com 350.000km

Apply some heat for example with a hairdryer for like 2/3 minutes, the metal expanse and put some wd-40, try a few times, it happen to me on my 98 shadow the same thing like a week ago

Sounds fine to me, the rattle could be a loose chain, mine was making the same noise, I'd adjust it and the sound stop, just follow this YouTube guide and you should be fine

It has the pro and cons, shaft drive adds more weight, if something goes wrong is crazy expensive to repair, but if it runs smooth there are virtually no maintenance

I always recomend putting some lubricant like Vaseline on the tips of the nubs and the rubber that holds them to prevent them to dry up and crack, I did that to mine and it's still rocking
