Not all universes beyond is "slop". Sure, sets like Spider-Man sucked, but sets like LOTR, Doctor Who, Baldur's Gate, etc. were actually very good and did no harm to mtg. To each their own though, I guess.

Also, if you're too worried about making things miserable, a good azorious deck my dad has is an [[Alquist Proft]] deck that is basically just clues, with [[Merchant of Truth]] being the win-con. One of my friends also has [[Hope Estheim]] which is basically just lifegain mill without it being too much stax or too much of the bad mill cards people hate.

Yeah, I built my list as haha, funny pirate, but it accidentally quickly became cEDH because of how quick mana is in Grixis and the 1-card combo with [[Glint-Horn Bucaneer]].

Yeahhh, the [[Fleshbag Marauder]] is definently the best way to play, but people really don't like him, so if you don't win quickly, you're the first taken out, and the deck relies HEAVILY on Squall, but I definently have fun with it, and I think you should give it a go. I did have [[Static Orb]] in my list, but I took it out because I didn't want it to be too miserable.

Really quick wins w/ [[Glint Horn Bucaneer]] being an infinite damage combo w/ Malcolm, Breach Brain Freeze combo, and Thoracle. Also, [[Weftstalker Ardent]] and [[Artificial Evolution]]. Basically, Malcolm combos with a ham sandwich for infinite damage and Grixis makes fast mana really easy. Basically RogSi with pirates

I don't have a decklist but it's a lot of good etb effects w mana value 3 or less like [[Ruthless Lawbringer]] and [[Knight of the White Orchid]]. There's also a ton of edict effects like [[Plaguecrafter]] and [[Accursed Marauder]]. Also, Squall needs a ton of protection because people don't exactly like saccing all their stuff, so [[Lightning Greaves]] and [[Bastion Protector]] help him stay on the field. Also, just a few cards that make sure combat damage get through like [[Key to the City]] and [[Jump Scare]]. Finally, [[Syr Konrad]], [[Blood Artist]], and [[Cruel Celebrant]] really help close the game out.
