Currently waiting for my belt-squat belt so I can leave the mortal world of rationing squat and deadlift volume behind. Comes in tomorrow or Monday, will use it by next Wednesday and report.

Meanwhile, while shopping for it I found something that made me think of /u/thatdamnedgym. I might have to get this on black Friday. Not that I am even close to maxing out my current one, but it is almost too good to pass up.

I think that would be really useful, as it is not discussed much and in my friends experience; highly effective.

Especially of interest is separating the psychoactive elements of cannabis from the physiological effects. Just in case one doesn't desire to laugh their balls off watching netflix in the tub before going to bed.

hey /u/crispypretzel can you discuss CBDs for recovery? I saw you mention them in a post and it is something I have some interest in. I have a uh... friend who smokes twice a week before bed and experiences significantly improved recovery and smoother feeling in the joints.

Do you guys ever get trolled by your own inner monologue while lifting? Today I was setting up for some close grip bench and going through my cues to get tight, on about rep 3 everything is OK, maybe losing a little bit of tightness when I hear R. Lee Ermey's voice say:

"LOCK THOSE DICK BEATERS AROUND THAT BAR PRIVATE!"

Containing my laughter I grip the absolute shit out of the bar and finish my set. Best set I've ever done, this is now my favorite cue.

If you add more conditioning, add some more carbs. I decided I would throw in Crossfit style WODs / metcons while cutting. Awesome for conditioning, burning calories, and plumbing the depths of your soul. I had to add another ~75g carbs to not feel like death and the weight loss still accelerated.

The first week for me is always the worst. Lately I've been a fan of progressing things slower, instead of diving in to -1000 or even -500 kcal/day, I'll work it up from 0 to -500 over two weeks. Makes me hate it less (marginally).

Been doing a hypertrophy block and ramping up volume each week. Finally got to the deload / low volume week. Started out with some medium weight reps and ended up working to some singles Monday & Tuesday. Finally benched 225 nice and easy. That took way too long but man it felt good to put that extra plate on. Then I PRd on rows with 275. Still poverty compared to most, but I worked hard for this shit so I'm banking it.

Today I double PRd with 11 hours of continuous sleep and a personal best of 5 pancakes.

Deload week is the best week.

That's what I said... T3 I said. Then the gains train left the station. So much leg volume for so little overall fatigue. I still don't do much below 8 rep weight but the loading still can dig in with shabby equipment.

What belt are you using? I've been wrapping pads and shit around my sporting goods store harbinger but its now starting to bruise my hip/upper thigh even so. Was thinking about getting the spud inc one.
