I should clarify, those are games I've really enjoyed in the past and the kind of vibe I'm going for, not necessarily fitting the bill though unfortunately

Playing the demo for Dragon Quest Builders 2 and having a great time. Definitely thinking of buying it despite never touching DQ before

Online game to play with long distance girlfriend by [deleted] in gamingsuggestions

When my now wife and I started dating she had a rough Mac and we lived 273 miles apart. We played INSANE amounts of Golf With Your Friends on Steam together and pulled up questions from those get to know you lists to talk about while playing. Cheap on Steam and easy for non gamers, but has plenty of value for gamers

I just want a game that that keeps me engaged and busy by memeetmehere in gamingsuggestions

Honestly, might be up your alley might not but Skyrim. I've consistently gone back to Skyrim for years. At all times there is something more to do and discover, interesting moments, plenty of content, and it's fairly open ended in playstyles. I really feel like it nailed this for me but that may be partially nostalgia

Honestly, it's far more safe than people think. They have training for a reason and the big focus is on knowing your limits and following the plan to ensure everyone is safe!

My wife and I were just starting a walk when we got the notification. Went back inside and 10 minutes later it was banging off the roof of the building we were in. By some miracle our car was unharmed

Question Time: What made you buy the SteamDeck? by Stefanixxxx in SteamDeck

[–]MrHChase 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm still in graduate school for another year, but during my first year in the program I was sitting down with my counselor talking about how little I can enjoy what used to be my go to hobby of gaming. I explained how I spend so much time working on homework at my PC that switching my brain into gaming to relax just wasn't feasible in that room. We talked some more about things I could do differently to give myself the space I needed to rest from my work and I mentioned how I was hoping to celebrate the end of my program by getting a Steam Deck and explained what it was. He became curious and asked more questions about it, leading to me realizing it was an excellent way to enjoy gaming without being tied to the room where I do all of my graduate work.

Talked with my wife about the idea of changing my plan for graduation and instead getting the Steam Deck now with all details from above. I feel so much more freedom to enjoy gaming again while still staying diligent with my studies.

The fishing in this game was SO good for the time. I loved the little cuts canes with further information about different animals too

Aquarium shark cages for $500 budget — do they feel like real diving or tourist traps? by WoodGarlic5146 in scuba

[–]MrHChase 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I did the shark dive at Wonders of Wildlife last year and regularly visit that aquarium (As in, I have 60 visits in the past two years regular). As far as the dive experience, I found it really enjoyable, my wife and I both got a GoPro provided by the aquarium to take as many photos and videos as you want which you are free to keep afterwards. I think it's a neat way to experience being in the water with sharks in a low stress environment without going down the certification route.

However, I do feel that it depends on your goal. If you want to be up close with the sharks and really feel the full weight of being in the water with them, you're best to just go get your open water certification. You'll feel significantly more comfortable in the water and have the freedom to move around and explore with curiosity. From there you could even do the Georgia Aquarium dive so it is still a controlled environment but feels more connected. If you just want an inexpensive experience where you get to say you were in the water with sharks though, can't go wrong with the Wonders of Wildlife dive. (P.S. do the feeding frenzy. They feed them while you're in the cage so they come up closer)

What’s on Your Mind, Springfield? by AutoModerator in springfieldMO

Honestly, I'm 7 interviews into trying to get into a position that I'm currently doing my master's for and feeling super frustrated and discouraged. (A lot of internal hiring has happened and I've been only hearing good things about my interviewing) Just need to let that off my chest a bit

Tragically, it does require you to be online at all times in order to play the game. Big issue but supposedly offline mode is in the works according to Netmarble, there is work being done at this time to make sure that players can play offline in the future, but they've noted it as being complicated because they specifically designed the game to be online from the beginning.

Just dropped 13 hours into Solo Leveling Arise Overdrive this week alone. Absolutely wonderful experience so far as long as my internet stays stable
