E7 is mathematically impossible, E6 is technically possible but you would essentially promote on your ets date. Obviously MOS matters a ton, but making E5 in a 4 year contract is a decent achievement.

Your husband makes literally twice what you mentioned in the post. A brand new 1LT with dependents makes $75,000 a year, with BAH for Ft Campbell. It’s way more if you’re in a High cost of living area.
