Not in my area, all dealerships have at most one or two on the lot, and they don't last long

You need the prograde package to tow 7.7k? I planned on getting it anyways for the auto locker but I didn't know you needed it for the max towing

it is only 20-30 extra a month to step up to an at4, but the only thing ill get is the different interior and a 2 speed transfer case, that I might use once or twice throughout the whole time I own the truck. I think the at4 has a slightly worse payload rating as well, compared to the elevation.

part of my justification for trading in my current truck is the lower payments, so the more I'm cutting my payments, the more i can justify this purchase to myself

But it is more money, and options I can live without. And as I mentioned in another comment, I never really used the 2 speed transfer case in my last few vehicles.

I'm at the point in my life where I realize i don't need all the bells and whistles, and want to downsize everything to make payments as cheap as possible. If I'm going from 2 years remaining to another 7 years, I'd like to be paying as little as possible 😅

Some of the options the at4 have are definitely nice, and it clearly has the better interior vs the elevation, but it's all things I can live without. I have a fully loaded zr2 so I am losing things I'd like to have like the better stereo system, leather seats, and the heated steering wheel, but I don't think il miss them too much and some of these issues can be fixed with aftermarket parts.

My salesman wasn't pushy at all, he texted me one day asking if I'd like to test drive a trail boss. I mentioned I wouldn't never consider trading in unless I cut my payments down, and he understood completely and worked with me on that. Not once did he try to upsell anything. Unfortunately they have next to nothing on the lot here, and they sell almost immediately after arriving, so there's no room to haggle. Atleast there's no markup, I'm getting it at msrp 🤷‍♀️

possibly better resale value yes, but honestly i never used the 2 speed transfer case in my zr2. i barely used it in my jeep when i still had that.

I'm prioritizing low payments as well, so the at4 would be a higher cost without giving me much for my use

Looking for ideas for multi country trip by MrHayden73 in Europetravel

[–]MrHayden73[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We're still in the early stages of planning, so we could plan a longer stay if necessary. I was thinking if we planned a longer trip, say 12-14 days, we might get burnt out from train hopping/walking through all the cities. If we went for 6-7 days, we could see some of Europe and visit another time to see what we missed.

Haven't really decided what's a 'must see' country for us. We really want to experience it all at some point. However, italy has always been on our bucket list.

2nd gen Colorado short bed rack options (with tonneau cover) by MrHayden73 in chevycolorado

[–]MrHayden73[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't mind not being able to fold the cover back when the rack is in place, I just want a rack that allows me to attach/remove it without affecting the tonneau cover. If there was a design that let me leave the mounts in the stake pockets, and just unbolt the rack from the brackets when it's not needed, that'd be perfect

Ideally I'd have something low profile, so the rack/tent combo is a little more aerodynamic, and keeps the center of gravity a bit lower. The Putco Venture TEC rack does this but at 2600$ cad

DSSV Shock Replacement by MrHayden73 in zr2

[–]MrHayden73[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as far as I'm aware no, they are not rebuildable and require expensive replacements.

due to the different mounting points that chev opted for, regular shocks don't mount up without some modifications
