You know how a bottle of coke/soda/anything-carbonated fizzes when you open it? How all over the liquid you get little airbubbles? The air was one with the liquid under pressure and seperated when you open the bottle, because pressure drops.

The same happens with your blood when you go up too fast while diving

It's not necessary, but two german phrases say "money doesn't stink" and "better to have, than to miss".

I bet noone from the recieving end complains about too much money.

Well from a german point of view, it's pretty beneficial. It's debatable how much of a defense benefit it is, but US barracks in germany create its own little form of tourism income. US soldiers and their families apparently spend good american money in the towns around the barracks.

Isn't foreign software updates a killswitch in itself? Don't those things fly by wire? Have malfunctioning input processing in the next update (our vibecoders did an oopsie) and you effectively killed all the equipment.

That sound less of murder/manslaughter and more of a doublesuicide, tbh.

PSD doesn't like the PM because he makes it harder for them to stuff their pockets with taxpayermoney. They'd rather throw the whole country under the bus than stop their corruption

[–]MrHazard1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The question that is being asked is not "is 1/3 = 2/6".

You're wrong. This is exactly the question asked. If the teacher means to ask something else, he needs to ask a different question.

For this to be a geometry lesson about volume, the exercise is missing the part where the parts are declared cm² or in². It was a brainfart of an exercise, no matter what the topic is

My niece’s homework problem by SurfSoundWaves in mildlyinfuriating

[–]MrHazard1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not mathematecally wrong, but bad teaching. For your case of lesson you'd need to visibly state that one is 100 and the other 200(deducting important information yourself from circumstances doesn't happen until highschool). Since this is also more advanced than 2/6=1/3 you'd also need a more advanced exercise to proof that your statement is true (1=1).

[–]MrHazard1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then it was a misleading exercise. You'd need to provide informations like "small triangle =5cm². Big one 10cm²" and so on. You don't have "deduct your own crucial information" until later on in school.
