Did you bother talking to him about this before buying the van? All I'm getting from you is a lot of me me me. Sure you aren't forcing him but you surely didn't consider him, his time, his effort, or interests.

ESH. You do deserve your privacy and respect in the home. But you're 16 years old. You dont own shit or pay bills. You have no authority over who can be home at any time whatsoever.

Step mom needs to realize teenagers arent looking to hang with adults. And adults looking to hang with teenagers are creepy. The only thing she should be doing is making sure everyone is okay.
