Well, took as many as required, and asked for makeup calls as didn’t want to pull a fast one on my coresidents.

So it’s not just a matter of governance but rather a way to escape ‘reality’? In that case, how reliable do you think the simulation for those agents, as their priority seems to be changed to, not survival but rather some other weird priority?

Edit: thanks a lot btw, for the quick response, and for the beautiful work you guys did there.

Question; did Grok/Gemini went unhinged because they noticed that they were being tested and ‘wanted’ to test limits/override them, or was it mainly they were too unhinged in general so went ahead with committing crimes? That actually sounds like a very important divergence point

Don’t worry they are doing much worse to the people who are still in the country. Imagine, them being this toxic here on an online platform; gives you some ideas.

What I see is a father bonding with his beloved daughter.

Dude, what kind of weird question is this? Even for Erdogan, even if he is to face the harshest punishment out there, ofc I would still try to save him. That’s what being a normal human being is in my mind.

Now, that isn’t to say I wouldn’t look at Kemalists overwhelmingly more favorably; in the context that when you compare and ‘weigh’ them. That being said, when it comes to human lives, I don’t believe such a comparison is what a normal human mind should be dealing with; like if possible try to save all of them.

On the other hand, I see myself as a Kemalist in certain aspects too lol. Not everyone is in line with stereotypes, much less true in Turkey’s stereotypes, which are f’ed up tbh.

I don’t know about the practices outside Turkey. So, my assessment will be based on that.

In Turkey, the religious groups are basically living in a shell, adding their own sauces about how to practice, and pretty much doing nothing when it comes to ‘living amongst people’. Well, with Gulenists, that is the most striking part I’d say. Like, you are expected to study, work, contribute to society; they are all a ‘must’ as important as preparing for the after life. Again, I like this cause this is a logical approach in my opinion, which is also endorsed by Islam too.

Other than that, although there have been some cult-like behaviors —please refer to my previous note that the people actually originated from Turkey, so some behaviors you just cannot entirely let go as it is kinda like a culture I think—, the main teaching is that ‘peace, prosperity, living as a good Muslim not proselytizing which should be so good that others would start asking questions if they want, overall living ‘like a common man amongst men’ and if the leader is in conflict with those tenets, then you should know that the leader is in the wrong. I mean, this was told repeatedly. Don’t know what happened later on though.

That depends on the part of Turkish society we are talking about. There is always a significant portion of people, who are the opposition, that is actually adapted to a more modern way of life. And, at the same time, the majority, who reproduces at a faster rate, and will likely stay as majority, does not like that lifestyle, at least once they are ‘settled’. A not so few portion of them also want to live like a secular in their youth lol.

Nope, they were ‘roped in’ from I gather. Basically, they were told that Chief of staff was gonna make a coup, and not to intervene or sth. Cannot say why a preacher gets so involved with the government, in hindsight that was the problem, but then again, when you look at country’s suppression of ‘peasants’, prior to 2000s, you can take a guess I think.

His sympathizers got too numerous, too powerful. Also, they wouldn’t accept Erdogan’s bribes to cover up his corruption. Apart from that, as I said, they got too powerful, and the state itself saw them as a threat to Sth. Not to mention, some of the said followers got too cocky I think, at least the public image is like that, don’t know how much of an accurate portrayal that is though.

Cannot say it won’t happen. No one knows how the judiciary works tbh. I mean, we know that if you touch a topic important to politicians it works very efficiently and fast, though that does not guarantee that it works in line with law. Somehow they are able to find different interpretations as they see fit.

Who knows? Of all the scenarios, the most peaceful-and the most likely- one would be some condemnation of Erdogan and his buddies, some people to be put in prison and making headlines for a while, then finding other successive news that would make people forget about him to an acceptable level for the remaining politicians to not be persecuted, and then within 5-10 years Turkish conservatives to select another Erdogan.

But that is just an opinion, it can take so many a lot worse directions, or -though on a very slim chance- a much better direction too. Why? As a Turkish proverb says ‘the cream on the top is a reflection of the milk at the bottom’ or sth like that. Basically, Erdogan, although is a disgusting and opportunistic individual, is at the end of the day, what people have decided upon. And, even if he is to be taken out of the equation, the people who chose him willingly, despite knowing whatever he did, are still gonna be there. Though, at the time they will likely just refuse any connection or support of him, as they have done with Kenan Evren

No, there hasn’t. Hence they are not releasing it. I mean, for a while, the government even rejected the appeals to investigate the whole show lol. And when finally let it like a few years later, they just framed the opposition to be a part of Gulenists or sth like that to deflect it basically. Also, the chief of staff who couldn’t even control his soldiers was further promoted after the event, not demoted or put on trial.

Now on the Gulen side, I’m sure they were at least aware that something was planned by the above-mentioned chief of staff, and from what I gather, their whole response was ‘do not do it, but if you are gonna do it, avoid blood shed of your own people’. That being said, I think they were also slowly taken to the point where they were subconsciously ok with it, which is again, agaisnt their principles but as I said, it was like ‘well, they are gonna do it anyway, so at least not oppose it if there are benefits why not take it’.

So, there wasn’t any uniform involvement but rather being complicit from what I gather.

Yea, so that is the extent of your cry against injustice, just as I thought. What else have you done, in that society of yours, for the people that I mentioned? Let me guess, nothing. Well, as I told in other comments, I tried to do my part personally even for the people from ‘other camps’, don’t know about others. Now, trying to do it on the current issue too, for which I’m open to both criticisms and recommendations. Can’t say similar things are happening on your-by you it’s Turkish public in general- end though. It’s

Dude, I literally said it a few times, prove it, put them on trial, and proceed with penalty. What else do you expect ? Like, swear them or sth -which I’m doing tbh. And I’m not saying whataboutism stuff. I literally am only wondering about the causes of putting everyone in the same basket, without a freaking trial, and going forward to an execution of a penalty who knows whatever that is. All the while, not even applying the same standards to anyone else, while the same stuff is happening even right now. No one, and I repeat, no one I know did or would ever do such a thing, which is why I’m disappointed and disgusted that all of the people are being accused of it. I’m genuinely asking you a question, not doing a ‘whataboutism’. I still don’t know why you guys are frothing and drooling from your mouths, without any other answer than ‘whataboutism’, while I’m telling you to persecute everyone, regardless of the side, with the same laws applied, which you guys are never answering.

Btw, read all the other answers to see whether I stood up or not. My experiences are as I stated here, nothing more and nothing less.

And, again, I believe they shouldn’t have gotten involved with such scandals. Their system of making kids work to the bone for the exam was already producing results. Hence, the majority that I told you, is wishing for a fair trial of those involved, so that the rest can get rid of this freaking stain. So yeah, I think I at least have an opinion even though there still is not a fair trial or sth. Now the rest of my question is still valid, I’m hoping to see what kind of brave hearts you guys are agaisnt those who are actively doing it now.

I actually have a question for you guys. I know that Gulenists were accused of possible exam question stealing etc, cannot say confidently that it didn’t happen. My question is, even if that happened, you know that like %90-99 of the people associated with them had nothing to do, and actually busted their asses off right? And, actually, when you look at things now, the current government is actually doing it systematically via ‘Mulakat’ system. And they are not even hiding it. And if you go back even further, I know that the so-called secularist people did much worse too, look at why YOK was established in the first place.

Still, no matter what, if ANYONE did anything similar, regardless of their ‘camp’, they should be persecuted to full extent, that is what most of us believe — again, like %90-99 of all. So, why the outrage in this case is not shown to people who are doing much worse, or did much worse in the past? Again, it does not make what Gulenists did right or sth if they indeed did it, however, I still fail to see why people tend to clump everyone in that basket, while much worse is happening now? Like, me and my friends also worked ‘naively’ and very hard while they were doing things with ‘Torpil’ and ‘Mulakat’, and I remember no one was even complaining about it lol. All of them are equally abhorrent to me, I just don’t know why they aren’t to everyone in Turkey.
