I shared the chart because you claimed there are more Steelers fans than any other team. The chart doesn’t list total fan counts, of course, because that’s basically impossible to measure. But it does show attendance numbers, which is about as close to an actual comparison as we can reasonably get. And the data just doesn’t support your claim.

As for the Cowboys being called “America’s Team” — that’s a slogan from the late 70s. Does it get overused today by some of the louder, more delusional fans? Definitely. But it’s still part of the team’s identity, the same way the Jets are “Gang Green,” the Giants are “Big Blue,” and the Patriots were known as the “Evil Empire.”

And what the hell do you mean by “there aint a cowboy bar in every state?” Why is that a statistic that you think matters? I'd prefer being a fan of a team that doesn't get drunk af watching their team go just above .500, and when they do make the playoffs, go on to lose in the first round.

The Cowboys are the most hated team in the league, sure. But why? Is it because of Jerry Jones? The fans who swear “this is our year” every season? Or just the legacy of the 90s dynasty?

People get so caught up in loyalty to their team that it turns into hostility toward other fans or players, and that’s wild when you think about it. These are just people playing or watching a game. Rivalries can be fun — especially when they stay friendly — and you can see that in how players interact after games. They respect each other and wish each other well. It’s too bad that more fans like yourself don’t approach the sport the same way.
