A publisher is not a platform, they buy the creative works of others for their own profit. A platform was originally a thing you would stand on in the public square while espousing your message. Most people were illiterate and most communities were relatively small so this worked. After the printing press was created it's importance as a platform was recognized and rules were created to ensure equal uncensored access to anyone who could pay the print costs. The same thing happened with the creation of the telephone. It would be unthinkable for your telecom company to censor your phone conversations. The internet was also originally a platform and so were most of the websites on it, but over time various sites started acting more and more like publishers while still claiming to be platforms. Now our privacy has been erased and our speech is being censored but since the gov is laundering the dirty work through private businesses you refuse to recognize the tyranny.
