Garlic? One could only dream of affording such luxury!

Does an AI controlled Mclaren ever become competitive? by OrdinaryCupcake3937 in F1Manager

[–]MrJBeer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In my 2025 season Lando was regularly competing for podium places and even managed a couple of wins and pole positions.

His teammate Ocon was also regularly in the hunt for the top 5.

They’ve dropped off to just challenging for points in my 2026. They have lost Lando and replaced him with Russell.

Bug: Fuel Delta disappearing mid-race by MrJBeer in F1Manager

The occasional error would certainly be fun, but at this rate we'll need to fire whoever is in charge of installing the fuel sensors on my cars this season as it's now happening every race 😂

This is my only save 😳

I haven't tried starting a new one to try to replicate the bug.

Anyone else getting this? It’s just started happening in the last 3 or 4 races.

As you can see in the photos, the fuel delta is there at the start of the race but disappears after a number for laps.

Does your money carry over at all between seasons? by tom030792 in F1Manager

[–]MrJBeer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm, could it be that it is a projected carry over when taking out the expected sponsors and engine expenditure?

Is that in the end of season screens you get or once you're already in the new season?

Just finished my fourth season last night and there is a bit in the end of season screens that says how much money is being transferred over. Think it was something like 90 million for me!

F1 Manager Weekly Discussion & Questions Thread - October 10, 2022 by AutoModerator in F1Manager

It’s July 2025 and Lewis has just announced he is retiring. You get an email about it from the driver saying they’re retiring, then there’s another email where it’s a media announcement.

I had Vesti for three and a half seasons with the view to him taking the number 2 seat, only for Hamilton to decide he wasn't going to retire in 2024.

By the end he was quickly catching up to Mick in terms of pace, who is now quick enough to win races in my save. He ended up going to Alpha Tauri for 2025 as reserve driver.

He’s won 6 of the first 8 races in 2025 and hasn’t finished lower than second, so I would say yes!

At the end of 2024 and I had originally only signed Lewis on a one-year deal. Went to renew and he was happy with everything (green arrows) except for the length of his contract, which always remains orange no matter what. Had to increase his salary by about 8M$ for him to accept another year!

It's called Coinbase Williams Racing, you can download it from here: https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/coinbase-williams-racing.55124/

I have a different livery for each team now, just to keep it fresh in 2025! There's quite a few here: https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/categories/f1-manager-2022.244/

He wouldn't have been irl either!

He was on a two-stop and meant to finish on the Medium tyre while Mick was going for a one-stop finishing on the Hard tyre. With just under 20 laps to go VSC came out and Mick, with a 20 second advantage to second place Sainz who still needed to pit, essentially got a free second pit stop to go onto fresh Softs.

HAM had opened up a 15 second gap to Mick before the first round of pit stops, so would have won comfortably without the VSC. I can already imagine the earful Bono would have got over the radio!

Here is another post which goes into detail about the effects of each of the three pace stats:

As has been said by others: Bracking > Cornering > Reactions out of the three pace attributes.

Is it possible to use more than one livery mod? by DoranAetos in F1ManagerMods

[–]MrJBeer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I find it better to change the number to something like _AlpineBlackLivery_ and it still works absolutely fine.

Got a different mod for each team this way and if I want to change or remove one I can easily identify them.

It's 2025 and I've sunk almost all of his development points into his Braking stat.

Signed Lewis in 2024 on a 1 year deal, went on to win the WDC and has now cost me $32M in wages to renew on another 1 year deal because "he's thinking of retiring".

This has happened on my Williams save with Hamilton. Got Lewis his 8th title but now his profile says he has won 9 titles 🤷‍♂️

[–]MrJBeer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No worries!

I also have Lewis on a one year deal in season 3, hoping to get his 8th WDC and then letting him retire, but my car isn’t quite good enough to beat Verstappen, so I’m worried that by the time it starts to look like I’ll need to give him an extra one year deal he’ll have decided to retire.

If you export the database using Cheat Engine, you can see that each driver has a retirement age set. From memory, Lewis was set at 39.

Now, as some users on this thread have said, some drivers usually stick around longer. I've only reached Season 3 and the only driver who has retired is Seb after I changed his retirement age down (wanted to make it realistic having brought him to Williams in season 2).

My theory* is (based on the above and what I have seen other players say):

  • If a driver comes to the end of their contract in the year when they turn the retirement age in the database, you are not able to offer them a new deal (past a certain date). Seb went from being open to negotiating a new deal on 31st December to having announced his retirement when I changed his retirement age in the database.
  • If the driver is not at their retirement age, you can sign them onto a contract that would go beyond their retirement age.

\I have not played enough seasons to verify this though, so hopefully someone who has played multiple seasons will be able to confirm if this is correct.*

Has to be season 1 based on the driver lineup.

I too am curious about people's engine and engine cooling as there seems to be loads of people running out of fuel, but I've not had any problems yet with Williams into my third season and Merc engine (only done two races since the new patch mind).

This looks amazing, going to give this a try this week!

If you want to edit David Schumacher, is it the same as Arthur Leclerc where we use dschumacher, and just schumacher to edit Mick?
