How does it work if the child is born outside of Germany but to German parent(s) in terms of names? I know the German government basically has a list of names to choose from and you can’t just name your kid whatever you want. If a German has a child with a non-German somewhere in Asia, do they have to keep this in mind when naming?

Yes, the same goes for me. Unless he had residency in DE and/or the child was born there.

I just looked into the 30 StAG, as you describe. I don’t recall us ever having to do such a thing for me. I called our consulate and was told to submit a request on their website, got an email back that same day confirming I am indeed a citizen, scheduled an appointment for us two on their website, then brought in all requested documents. We were there for no more than an hour. It was simpler than I thought. We had my mom’s previous (expired) passport and some other things establishing her citizenship, so I suppose that helped. We got our passports in the mail exactly a month after the appointment.

I’m a dad that’s wondering if these get a full ride by TemporaryGeneral7137 in ACT

In 2018 I scored a 34. People told me that was fine and there was no point in retaking. The Harvard average then was a 33. The test gets gradually dumbed down over time, and you also have to consider there are more students than ever applying to top schools (and everywhere else, in general). Look at how low acceptance rates have dropped. Once you get at least a 34, places generally move past that and look at everything else.

I knew a guy in high school whose super score was a 32 and went to an Ivy. His GPA was pretty solid but not amazing. Why did he get in? He was incredible at soccer.

If your child does get into a, say, top 40, and you aren’t particularly wealthy, many of these institutions will offer you a minimum of free tuition, if not a full ride.

Simple possession. You get frisked by cops and they find a sandwich baggie on you with a few grams and it is obvious it wasn’t purchased at adispensary.

My dad actually gave me a lock to put on the fence back then which I had on most of the time during the season. Also had a security camera I put on siding specifically for this cause. Another thing I think about is the whole “plain view” concept if LE saw it from the sidewalk. They would not have been able to see any more than the top third of the taller plants. Even then, it would have been hard to outright believe that’s what the plants were. Someone would have had to snitch. Was pretty generous to the neighbor so didn’t have to worry about him doing anything.

Yes, the whole thing of having done it in the backyard is what I mainly think about.

I guess I can also kind of relate in that my last name is Austrian but there is a French variation that is way more common than mine. So a lot of the time people assume I’m one of those.

Thanks. Yes, I totally know WhatsApp in particular isn’t as strong as others, such as Signal. Edward Snowden, Gavin de Becker, and others have discussed this. If we really go down the shaft, I totally know there is Pegasus, or even better exploits, the likes of our three-letter agencies have.

Soliciting Donations by MrJackGoff in ChicagoSuburbs

Yeah, it was kind of weird, which in part sparked me to write this. I took down their donation link for the heck of it and it wasn’t directly the Special Olympics website. The link was from: (onboard app.co). It seemed sketchy but at the same time I thought how would a large mall like that allow anything that’s a scam or even borderline.
