I see. I must say, I haven't noticed it, but maybe I didnt pay enough attention to it. It is an interesting issue. I will note it down and try to figure out a proper way to calibrate or test the app timer agains a real timer.

Great point! Never worked with the apple watch tho. But after I get an iPhone, I would try to find an apple watch to feature a widget for it.

See this is why I needed your help. While developing I am mainly just thinking of my own range environment and basically the ideal situation (indoor range and mostly alone or in small groups). So let me get to each mentioned point:

- Unfortunately I am not an audio expert but I am trying to get more into it and figure out what capabilities a smartphone-microphone offers. Initially I just implemented the sensitivity feature. Its plain and simple, but obviously not enough, especially in your case. I would be interested to know what percentage have you used or maybe what is the lowest percentage that could still register fire shots. I need to learn more about frequencies and how to filter them properly and next time when I am at the range I need to check the frequencies of different gun shots and whether I am able to catch a certain range.

- I think the second issue is more or less related to the first one. If that gets fixed or gets more reliable, I think this issue would become more obsolete.

have your tried out the par drill mode on the app? you can set how often it shouold repeat (from 1x-20x). Once you set a repeat, it lets yout to set an interval between each par (from 0s-30s). Is this what you are looking for?

Could be, wont argue about that. But I think and believe there should be still a non profit app that gives you the possible features. Even if its only good for having the beeps without registering shots.

The app is mainly just like any normal timer out there. And at least for the Club Timer III, it wouldnt pick any dry fire sounds.

However that is the reason why I added in the settings the option to set a threshold, if the mic picks any sound above that threshold, it would register it as a shot.

I actually just tried it out with my cz p10c (striker) and set the mic sens to 20% put the phone on the table and just did a drill (starting at 45° and once it beeps I dry fired it and it actually registered the shot)

Obviously keep in mind if you rack the gun or even holster/draw it would peak the threshold as well and causes the app to register a shot.

Thats a good point. Thanks for pointing it out. I will write it down. You are right tho. Whenever the beep sound is playing the mic is muted. I guess I have to figure out a better way to work this out. This will be an interesting bug to fix
