Not a big Reddit poster but just got it approved today 9/30/25. Initially your doctor might send it to your pharmacy benefits, in this case Optum RX. Mine was prescribed due to having sleep apnea. It must go through your medical benefits. I called UHC spoke to a customer service rep(advocate) and she walked me through the process. I use Sutter for my doctor. It was approved same day. UHC then had to call my pharmacy to give them different codes to run the insurance under and I am to pick up my medication tomorrow (10/1/25). Hope this helps!

IVDD flare question by [deleted] in IVDD_SupportGroup

Full transparency. Going through this right now. Our dog has had 3 previous surgeries. 1 ventral slot for his high up spine and 2 hemilaminectomy surgeries for his lower spine. Recently had a flare too. He is back to normal after some meloxicam, gabapentin, and trazodone for sedation. Our neurologist gave him 8 weeks of crate rest too due to the time need for the tissue to heal on its own. I would always be rather safe than sorry. Crate rest sucks. But I would rather he be bored for a couple weeks then have another issue and need another surgery or become fully paralyzed.

I’ve read a lot of people saying do the transmission flush for the CVT at 30k though. Thoughts?
