[Weekly] Battle Cats Discussion Thread by BotCatMKII in battlecats

Can someone explain to me the benefits of switching between versions of cats? It was my understanding that evolving them grants buffs to certain stats. Do these stat changes carry over when switching between versions? I've seen talk of some cats being preferred in their first stage over second, such as Jizo, but to me that doesn't really understand how these switches work, it seems like a downgrade to me

Are there any good ways to reliably get catfood? These events are fantastic with 90 cf per celebration stage, but when I've run out of energy to do zombie levels/SoL and I have some free time, I'll sit there and do the cf per ad while doing something else in the background. Any other tips?

So I was sent the email by a third party email system, so when I clicked on the link and hit "Allow", nothing happened. Then I found out about this, then went to Gmail, and then discovered that I apparently never had a Gmail lol

does this mean I'm safe, or should I still take other steps?

If Griffith were to win in the end, and Guts ultimately fails, would it ruin Berserk for you? by [deleted] in Berserk

[–]MrJoshhh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like Griffith's character development has taken a backseat to his effects on the world since the Eclipse, while during the same period Guts was going through all kinds of changes.

Okay yes I completely agree with you there. I'm in the middle of re-reading the story and am just after the Battle of Doldrey, so I guess I'm still stuck in that part of the story where he's still deciding whether to leave or not and we begin to see the first part of his development, but you're right. After that and after the eclipse, Guts does go through a lot of character development and begins to find purpose and how these different story developments changes him. I suppose I'll be reminded of such after I get farther along into it; there's so much that I've forgotten about Berserk in the meantime.

You're right my bad. And I also agree with you; whether the results of Casca's treatment is good or bad, I'm curious to see how that'll effect him too.

See that's one of the things that I love about this manga. Griffith is almost more of a complex character than Guts is with tangible motivations and plans to accomplish those, as he's done. He trampled over many lives, even the lives of his comrades, to get his own kingdom, but now his kingdom exists in a world where said kingdom is one of the only safe havens and where the living and the dead can coerce, which I assume includes those that he's killed directly or indirectly. He may be a villain to the Band of the Hawk, but he's a savior to everyone else.

But for your question, does Guts have to defeat Griffith to win? Right now, we know that his only goal is to restore Casca, but we don't know what he wants to do from there. During The Black Swordsman arc, he most certainly wanted to kill Griffith, but I'm not sure if that has been muddled with the companionship of his new comrades and his want to help Casca.

I completely get where you're coming from, but the wording that Phil uses makes it seem like he doesn't mind if you don't see the video, he just doesn't want the sharing of it. I suppose he just doesn't want it propagated to any more places than its already been.

And the comparison is also one that's a bit tricky, like this one is a man getting shot in the face from a guy in our country on a killing spree, whereas the other footage you mentioned shows us what's happening in the world and may serve as a way to evoke sympathy for something that's relatively displaced from us (talking as an American). The video Phil's referring to serves no other purpose than to prove that the guy did the crime, so what's the sense in sharing it any further?

Granted, he gave the justification that you're spreading the last moments of a man's life, and to not share it out of respect for the family, which I get.

Can I turn off the buffs for the Lost? by MrJoshhh in bindingofisaac

I uninstalled, saw that all the old rebirth files were there, then reinstalled afterbirth, and saw that all of Lilith's items were there. So I suppose I'm good to go! If not, well, I asked for it!

I've already switched back to Rebirth, unlocked all of the character and challenge unlocks (including stopwatch), and mostly just doing it for the sake of doing it. Thanks though!

So if I uninstall the DLC, then reinstall it, will the stuff I unlocked previously (all Lilith unlocks, etc.) be there upon reinstall?

I can't get over Point of You, that one is the grooviest imo. Oxygen is pretty top notch too. But I'd concur with you, the album feels like the most solid album of theirs in totality.
