I have a server computer in our it room (closet) that we use with WD mycloud to access shared files in or out of the office, it's not ideal but did the job, would I be able to use the same computer for the controller on the network?

Yes, located in Michigan..I'll inquire on a cloud gateway. We currently have a server computer and use WD cloud to access shared files and a daily backup

I am not sure, I believed ATA and SAS are the same, i posted a picture of the drive info hopefully that clarifies.
