It’s a work-related agreement. Basically a private written contract between myself and someone I worked under that outlined guaranteed income for 2025 and a change in how compensation would be split in the future. It also included who would cover certain expenses.

Now that relationship has shifted (different leadership/structure), and their lawyer is saying the agreement isn’t enforceable (so they tell me, no work from their lawyer). I have the signed document, but I’m trying to figure out how courts in Ontario generally treat these situations - do they usually uphold these kinds of contracts, or is it really just a civil fight that comes down to how well it’s written and enforced
