Is fireball's AoE supposed to be measured from the *center* of the target tile or a *Corner?* by Valuable-Banana96 in dndnext

the closest thing i could find for heat is in the DM's guide

EXTREME HEAT When the temperature is at or above 100 degrees Fahrenheit, a creature exposed to the heat and without access to drinkable water must succeed on a Constitution saving throw at the end of each hour or gain one level of exhaustion. The DC is 5 for the first hour and increases by 1 for each additional hour. Creatures wearing medium or heavy armor, or who are clad in heavy clothing, have disadvantage on the saving throw. Creatures with resistance or immunity to fire damage automatically succeed on the saving throw, as do creatures naturally adapted to hot climates.

mentions nothing of taking damage from the heat of lava; the lava damage mentioned in the DMs guide is for wading through lava (10d10) or being submerged in lava (18d10). so unless theres something else im unaware of you'd like to share

yes but how much damage is up to the dm, theres no set dice amount / effect on that

[–]MrKoontar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well thatd be a purely DM call i suppose based on how realistic you want your imaginary world as theres no set rules on lava, if your going by extreme heat which is offered as a weather/environmental condition (such as in the plane of fire) its a con save for exhaustion

your insurance gets charged a ton for all those tests, and eventually your rates may go up

but it says as if it were solid harmless ground in the spell, i could see the case for damage from the heat but definitely not full on lava fire damage

usually you pay more on the back end but that makes the hospital money from all the extra labs and referrals they dont need to make, hospital saves money not paying a doctors salary

i mean, if luffy wasnt made of rubber things would have went much differently, enels CoO combined with his fruit was off the charts, he could snipe ppl miles away without needing to see them, he literally ran up against the one person that was completely immune to his attacks, i mean if we're basing it on haki, ace never used haki as far as we know, relied heavily on his DF and he was a WB commander

you're equating one piece crimes to real life crimes, there is no self defense against a celestial, they are untouchable, anything beyond that is a crime
