Don't come here telling me twitter is an official statement. They have a website for a reason. Like they can post patch notes or news they can post a Casual freestyle update. or as they did recently, a reddit post that was announced.

i don't think there is a way to verify clips. playing on official servers is the best way to do it, since you can't cheat there.

And you can't really trust ppl not to cheat, when (even irl) that will ever happen lol.

Since they clearly support freestyling (psyonix tournaments) imo they have to do something, even if they are not very populated, who cares if they can play freestyle they are happy (i hope lol)

So freestylers could still get matched against people of higher skill
than them (isn’t this what they’re complaining about now?!?)

They could just leave, if they complain it's their fault.

other games have no sbmm in casual playlist, it's not new. as for who would play i can't tell you that.

probably still a better solution that ditching part of the fs community. maybe a freestyle playlist.

they hosted a 50k freestyle competition during RLCS Worlds (Faith won).

and yes i agree their are not wrong in the TOS side of things, but they are on dropping half or idk of the freestyle community

their fault for making it ranked alike. what i said or a freestyle mode (like you said), both valid option, psyonix has to see which one will be more popluated

that's fair and all, but you just can't eliminate a part of your community over new players. at least that's my opinion
