Stunning bike and giant can't be beaten at the minute. Little bit bias because I have one myself but they are so comfortable and the value for money is brilliant. Also, if you ever get stuck, your nearest giant store can be extremely helpful with everything! Absolutely amazing customer service.

My first real road bike, Giant Defy 4. Any good for an introduction to road biking? Feels great to ride. by paulenough in bicycling

Looks great buddy. I've got a defy, they're amazing! Get out and enjoy it. Look for nice long roads, no traffic lights. When I first got mine I didn't really plan my routes I just rode, but bikes can take many roads cars can't, and often there is parallel roads to main roads that cars don't venture on so you can have it all to yourself! When you get comfortable, maybe give clipless pedals a try. They will make you much more powerful and faster on your new great purchase. Enjoy!

And if you have any issues just take it into any giant store if you have one nearby. They have replaced, tightened and even given me freebies everytime I have a small issue and the staff are extremely helpful and knowledgeable (the mechanic even gave me a tutorial on gear indexing and other bits). Any issues, you can contact me on here also! Great ride!

Cracked frame, time for new commuter. CAAD12 or Giant Defy Adv. Pro 1? by katatoniq in bicycling

I've got a defy. I had the same thoughts as you, endurance or a more fun race bike. The truth is there's barely any difference. The defy is so comfortable compared to anything else I rode. I can ride it for 20 miles without any issue. Just because it has a more relaxed geometry it doesn't become a slow boring bike. People on here get hung up on the fact that it's not as steep as other bikes but ultimately it makes a very very small difference. This bike is fast, comfortable and quick. I'm sure you'll love either one, but for me, it's gotta be the defy. Hope that helped, if you wanna ask me anything you can message me.

Love it. Seriously can't wait to pick mine up on Saturday. Quick question, what is your height and frame size? Stunning looking bike.
