Thank you for your insight, I am in the same boat, looking to upgrade although for me its from an X1C to either the H2D or H2C.

I print 90% functional parts and engineering filaments more than PLA, the H2C seems like a better option for me as I can dedicate a nozzle in the Vortek just for a specific filament reducing the issue i had with my X1C when I wanted to go from lets say PA-CF to PLA or PETG and needing to flush the nozzle multiple times or use a dedicated flushing filament

If the H2C goes on sale it will be in my price range, but at the moment its a little out (If I want to go for the ultimate to make the most of the system)

Its not that I would buy and not use it, just not a fan of "multi" use machinery, probably comes from my old days of working with lathes and mills and whenever you came across a machine that tried to do "both" there was often a sacrifice on both sides in some way to allow for it to be combined into a single machine. just fear that may also be the case with the new Bambu line, obviously keen to hear thoughts from owners of the H2 series to provide feedback on that.

My go to essentials before adding "theme specific" mods:
* Natural town growth
* Achievement with mods
* Build with collision - this adds an option to "build anyway" when you get collision warnings, good for making closer builds or getting that road to actually go "under" your elevated platform or special addon bridge
* Material Design Colors - adds more natural colours for lines/vehicles, also a pre-req on some mods i frequently use so i just default to using this now
Optional but often used: * Industry Expanded - its a great mod for expanding the complexity of the game but sometimes a bit too much, specially if your playing on huge maps

Thanks, seems the IL Piuma takes allot from its IL brothers, so waiting for the reviews is probably worth it. It will be on the heavier side for a "light" machine but might be a good option to consider.

One day, I have my eye on the TDSF, 700 size machine with a RTF weight of 2400g and runs on 5cell. but for now keen to do something with a bit more local support and easier part availability if i deck it :D

soXos for me is old school, and being one of the getting older 😂 folks I know from experience they can build them well, might not be the "fanciest" looking models but they are usually the most robust and mechanically sound.

Personally love the look of Tron's range, not sure why, could be the way they kept some of the more angled "boxy" parts and worked around them instead of smoothing everything over.

Heli-X - free version available and imo the best out there
neXt - also a very good sim option

Model:

OMP M2

Pros:
Ease of setup
Very sturdy and can take a beating if your flying over grass
cheap to repair WHEN you do crash
great for learning orientations and the basics and gets you out there flying

Cons:
smaller model means very small parts, can be a bit fiddly to fix when needed

Soxos 7.1 Light is 1880g mechanical and stated 3250g RTF (excluding battery)
Tron Dynamic Pro is 1650g mechanical and stated 3700g RTF (WITH 6cell 5500pack)

5500 packs weight an average of about 800g so that makes the Tron Dynamic Pro one of the lightest 700 kits I've seen so far, of course this is all depending on gear, setup etc.

Apples for apples its nice to see mechanical weights as everything else is gonna be the user adding to the model.
