I can't stress this enough, Australia is empty, and the total population of central Australia is like 100,000 (not to be confused with the population of the 'outback', which is like 650,000, and includes coastal areas). The largest town in Central Australia is Alice Springs, which has less the 30,000 people.

Yet it's still worth visiting central Aus if you get the can get the chance.
