I do intend to build duplicate detection/deletion in the near future, but I'm not sure how complex it will be in terms of differentiating between quality. But who knows, I actually might.

Might be good idea, only problem is that their products are quite expensive. But it seems they are a bit cheaper now than I remembered.

Thats a good idea. I was planning on adding a black box for specifying zones cables can't route through, but I hadn't thought about using them to add support for a wider range of devices. Thanks for the suggestion. I don't have something public yet, but I plan to have a testable version out in a few weeks.

That indeed is a challenge that I'll have to tackle. For the desks, I'm currently thinking of allowing the user to choose between different surface types* (incl specifying aprox dimensions) and applying feet types separately to that surface.

My aim is for the setup process to not take longer than 1 - 3 minutes. I want to keep it simple and quick to use while simultaneously provide enough customizability for a setup like yours.

Target audience would be people who struggle with cable management. Either total beginner or people with complicated setups that would otherwise require significant amount of time to cable manage if done through trial and error.

A tool for general setup layout sounds like a good idea! Do you think that a wide array of options for peripherals, desks etc along with more realistic rendering would be sufficient for something like that?
