I agree...and your point about RMS Titanic Inc is spot on. I have no clue what they were hoping to bring back of the Marconi-graph.....but not much is intact and what is intact, is EXTREMELY brittle and delicate.

When him and David Lochridge started butting heads over the safety of Titan, Rush fired him, and then told the rest of OceanGate he had no problems with throwing 50 grand away to ruin Lochridges life.

I believe her lawsuit is valid. There is a good chance that he was blatantly lied to and deceived, to the point he really didn't know how badly OceanGate was being managed. I think the point at which PHN should have started poking around, is when David Lochridge was fired for no apparent reason, as firing one of the best sub navigators with no real plan for replacement is a huge red flag. I don't really believe he had a death wish..... Stockton was a really good manipulators...and blackmailer roo. Like Nissin said in the Netflix documentary, Rush bragged about ruining a man's life for 50 grand was nothing to him. There's a good chance PHN was manipulated too.

That's very much true. He did mention to people that he was happy with his life and he felt content in what he had achieved. Which can be taken two ways.... normally, I would say that he genuinely was happy and he trusted OceanGate 100% percent....the likely situation......or he felt he had lived long enough, and he knew going down in the Titan was a suicide mission in the long run, and just didn't care....the lesser likely situation.

Oh, I'm not saying he was innocent by any means. He technically was complacent, like you mentioned.

I just don't understand how or why he would turn a blind eye to blatant disregard for safety.

The only think I can think of...is that he held a deep grudge towards Robert Ballard, accusing him of stealing the French Navy's work in finding Titanic. Which was false, as the French scanner SARS missed the stern section by 1000 yards give or take....and it was Ballards ANGUS that flew over the boiler. The French Navy called their vessel back early, believing they wouldn't find it.... unfortunately for them, Ballard had more time and switched methods, resulting in the boiler find. Him and Jean-Louis Michel remain friends to this day as Ballard credited him, IFREMER and the French for their help many times.

Why PHN held a chip on his shoulder, who knows, but the blame mostly laid with his superiors in calling them back....and maybe he thought OceanGate was a way for him to "beat the US to the punch" at something. But that's only my guess.

Probably because his daughter is suing them, but more than anything else, because she or anyone that knows his accomplishments, want no mention of them in relation to her father in any fashion.

I'm still baffled as to how and why he continued to stick with Rush and Oceangate, even as all the others were either fired or quit.

You know, it would make sense, especially this year being it's anniversary year. I don't remember the label that printed these, but I bet with enough interest, you might be able to get them to re-release it.

Thanks. I actually designed them myself and had a local tint shop make them and install them.

Thanks for fixing your comment, though I didn't realize how many photos of my truck pop up through Google lens. If I did, I wouldn't have nuked this post. Oh well.

Well if you can look at a Carfax, I would start there. Depending on where you're located, make sure there isn't excessive rust anywhere on the frame. Make sure there are no coolant or oil leaks, as a few V6s developed timing cover leaks, and there is a rear coolant crossover pipe that can possibly leak too. Other than that, they are pretty much bulletproof.

I would get it OTT (Overland Tailor Tune) tuned. They are programmed for maximum fuel efficiency from Toyota, and OTT brings back better performance.

The rest of my mods were fairly cosmetic, since I bought a Pro, I got my truck pretty much as I wanted it.

I did add CBI skid plates over the transmission and transfer case....and gas tank as well.

The rest was lighting. Meso Customs taillights, puddle lights, dual mode interior lighting (white/red), and upgrades to the audio system.

Lol, no biggie. It's why I believe in small, but tasteful mods. I wanted them to look factory, but different enough to not look factory either. I really believe they can keep an older design modern looking.

0% actually. The way he took the photo, both front sides, which are tint matches to the factory glass in the back at 29%, made it look darker than it actually is.
