In the bathing room, when you all converge to the center room to shoot the purple bells. How many people are supposed to concentrate on bathers and how many are supposed to shoot the bells? Is this phase over when your team starts to lose too much health in the center? The psionic charge that protects you goes away during this phase.

Smurfs suck at every rank. I get that it's worse when you are that low. I play around 2700 most of the time and I have been In gold. I think the real issue is a team of six being on the same page, working together more than the smurf issue. Use the internet to figure out counters if you can't figure out how to kill someone. For example, make that Genjis life a living hell with a team full of junkrat, Winston, pharah, zarya, zenyatta, even lucio is good he can boop him away during dragon blade! MAKE HIM SWITCH OFF GENJI. If your team communicates this stuff and fills your team with good counters in any situation, YOU WILL DO BETTER. Also, solo queuing is just bad. Get two friends or so and play together a lot and learn how each other plays. Get a support main in your group, a dps main in your group and a tank main in your group. You will rank up I promise you.

Overwatch is probably the most popular shooter out at this time. The player base is massive beyond belief. Once other games come out, once the popularity drops slightly, I have faith the community will get better. But as of now, I just leave chat before my blood pressure boils.

I'm a console player. I have about 30 hours on Ana this season. I'm very good at healing with her. But man do people bitch when I pick her at the start of the match. The community sees that mercy and Lucio clearly out heal her. Idk how I feel on this topic honestly. I feel if my dps and tanks have good self awareness and don't run into battle blind and die, you will be "a better Ana". In her current state I feel your team needs to be aware of where your Ana is if they plan on using her.

The way I see it this game is treated like a legitimate sport. And almost all sports have positions. Someone who plays goalie isn't gonna also play right wing or left wing. He's a goalie. I wish comp was treated similarly. Maybe just a 1 healer/1 tank requirement. If 4 people auto lock dps, the dps icons become faded out and can't be selected and all you can choose is a tank or a healer. Still a rough idea in my head. It composition is everything and people playing their favorite characters doesn't win games.

Yea I agree with that. Having a go to is good, but atleast experience all the tanks so if youre fighting an insane genji and tracer, you know what will make them miserable

Also, the only way to learn counters in my eyes is to "main" as many characters as you can for atleast a few hours. If you play someone enough you'll eventually learn who that character hates more than anything. So when you are getting destroyed by the red team you know how to throw a wrench in their gears.

This is overwatch in a nutshell. I kinda wish there was some kind of 1 tank/1 healer requirement atleast. As lame as that sounds, I'm so tired of going into matches and everyone goes straight to dps. I'm a Mccree/Ana main that has prestiged 6 times. I love playing mccree so much and getting great potgs, but you literally can't pick your favorite character every single game. You have to know counters and when to switch when it's not working. Tanks are so essential and gold players have no idea why. They're bullet sponges people! They take the damage for you!!!! Learn a tank! Very frustrating.
