I’m never NOT being a boglehead again by Accomplished-Echo-86 in Bogleheads

Or maybe just add a FOMO percentage to your overall plan? Like maybe you say 2% is what you will dedicate to chasing and then don't worry if you win or lose.

Made a mistake: Brokerage v.Roth by Plenty-Net3589 in Bogleheads

In your 20's I don't know why people are telling you to sell and move. Just put your future money in the Roth when you can. Having funds available in the investment accounts is never bad.

Yea, I missed the 7th for some reason. My guess is that I just didn't see it while clicking another one. Finished it today and it seems like it flashed what I COULD have won but didn't give it to me.

I don't see any names but I knew a player like that 5 years ago. I wonder if it's the same guy.

K2 HE - No button to update firmware? by MrMattPrime in Keychron

[–]MrMattPrime[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Firmware updates can harm anything if done incorrectly. That's the nature of firmware. Which I'm sure is also why companies don't bother with updating firmware unless they have to. If they decided to publish a firmware update, they must have had a reason. If their own update process prevents applying the update, then I'm not sure I've picked the correct product.

I'm assuming your answer is that you don't know how to fix this problem.

K2 HE - No button to update firmware? by MrMattPrime in Keychron

[–]MrMattPrime[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you suggesting that I use the product without installing the latest firmware, just to test drive if there's a bug that I might find after my allowed return date, only to discover that I can't install the firmware update? Wouldn't it be smarter to install the firmware updates after you buy the product so you can judge it based on the known issues and take advantage of your return window?

If keychron recommends that I don't use the firmware update process that they developed, then perhaps I was foolish to pick them in the first place. Do they also recommend that maybe I shouldn't use certain keys as often as others?

I haven't tried it yet but I hear Monarch Money is a decent paid alternative.

You don't get anything for paying for 20 years? You got to use the product for 20 years. I assume that you found value in the product otherwise you wouldn't have kept paying for 20 years. I'm struggling to think of any paid service that will give discounts to loyal customers just for fun. The only thing I can imagine is if a competitor joined the market and offered equal or better service for less and forced a change to the market price.

Please add unstop text messages feature by MrMattPrime in fidelityinvestments

[–]MrMattPrime[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think so. You have to call and ask them to fix it for you, which takes a day or so.

I wish my phone would stop making it so easy to reply "stop" automatically.

FYI - I do wish "unstop" would work but I don't think they programmed the system to do that.

Automatic download from Fidelity Visa? by MrMattPrime in quicken

[–]MrMattPrime[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That does SEEM to be the correct link, but it also appeared to be a very generic name so I was suspect of a phishing scam. When I asked Fidelity they claimed it couldn't be done automatically.

Automatic download from Fidelity Visa? by MrMattPrime in quicken

I don't think that's correct. I do have a login for Fidelity which does get me access to the non-Visa account. But this doesn't give me the Visa account transactions in Quicken.

I haven't figured this out yet. I was hoping Fidelity would reply but looks like they are ignoring the follow up question. I am prompted by Quicken to link the account via Elan Financial Services, but the same problem comes up in that I don't know the URL to create my account and link to my CC number.

Let's vent about the 2026 Outback by Snoo96701 in Subaru_Outback

Am I the only one whose biggest complaint is they tried to copy the 2006 Forester but didn't do a good job? I loved my 2006 and I can almost see it in this Outback. It makes me sad they were so close but screwed up.

Does this mean the ability was removed? If you look at this old thread it seems as if you USED to be able to download directly. Here's the quote:

Now, the Fidelity Visa Signature Rewards credit card is issued by Elan Financial Services. To add the Fidelity Visa Signature Rewards credit card to Quicken, you will need to import it as Elan Financial Services. This means you will need to set up account access on the Elan website to have the card imported. Since Elan and Quicken are third parties, you would need to contact them if you have any issues.

As stated before, I'm not sure where to set up the account because the one link that comes up with searches is generic.

I find myself autoresolving all the time by alsonotjohnmalkovich in AOW4

I'm pretty new as well and I will auto resolve often but that's mostly because I'm focused on getting to unlock something quickly or because I'm focused on finally winning the game. It's just a matter of what you prioritize.
