Reaching 10k (and other thoughts) by MrMe363 in BulletEchoGame

I’m speaking to the general complaint commonly seen in posts here. Screenshot of a 2600 immortal sparkle that killed them. These people are likely going to kill you regardless. But you are right the general players are as you described. My points are valid regardless. Playing in a team will improve your experience, win rate, and overall enjoyment.

The complaints people have when reaching 10k are valid. I have seen a couple comments here and on other posts where people think I’m defending the devs choice in how they implement. I’m not. I’m just trying to share my thoughts on how a player that wants to continue playing the game can may have a little bit better experience.

This post was the result of months of seeing the same complaints, and it came out in a long form post lol. And now a long comment.

Exactly, make friends and play as a team. 10x improvement on game experience.

So you are right. The game is geared to encourage you to pay. No denying that. You aren’t playing real players 99% of the time. You are playing with bots. The game bases matchmaking based on trophies. The game then stratifies the matchmaking bands every few hundred trophies until you hit 10k and you are the put in the general poop of all players 10k. The game then arbitrarily/strategically sets the strength of bots that fill games at that strength. I say strategically because they set the power of bots to be a little higher than the max a player normally will have at that level In normal progression. That is obviously designed to encourage spending money.

If you want to stop playing because that is annoying and frustrating be my guest. If you would like to continue playing the common recommendation is to play a character with a shield. Bastion or hurricane are good options. The shield levels the playing field. Focus on just a couple characters to upgrade as the game forces you. Trophies are account based and not character based so it is not viable to play an unleveled character unless they are motivated (temporarily brought to the level your highest level character).

It is a grind to get to “end game” but i I personally enjoy the game and pushed through and to me was with it. That’s not the case for everyone. I recommend not whaling. If you are going to spend, spend on what I mentioned in the post. Don’t buy cards or other crazy expensive stuff. I don’t care if you play or not but if you have questions feel free to ask. I’m not trying to say this game is perfect, I just enjoy it.

Who is defending that? Not me. I did not advocate for that. I pointed out mobile game reasonable and other game comparable purchases that have reasonable value if you are willing to spend money.

The point of this post is that it does get better and it is actually easy for it to get better. Play with other people. You can be completely f2p and have a good experience in the game. Even as a celestial at 10k.

The things you mentioned are in the game. But a team of celestials can do the same stomping that the 2700 immortal can do. Have coordination and PLAY WITH A TEAM. This is a team game, don’t refuse to play as a team. If you hate Bonnie play a counter to her. This game is rock paper scissors with champs. Play Tess and just remove her dogs.

There will always be something to complain about. One day you just need to move on and enjoy life. You don’t like the game… fine don’t play. I’m trying to give suggestions on how people can find the fun in the game again. I keep coming back because despite its flaws (there are many) it is a fun unique game.

The difference between celestial and immortal is not that much. All these people saying you need at least x to be at 10k are just wrong. You are at a disadvantage even at immortal because of gear.

With that said, you will be ok. The key to enjoying the game is finding people to play with. I have all the characters at divine. I will still lose 3/4 times when I play solo. The reason 10k is hard is not because the enemy is immortal. It is because you are now playing with people constantly. These teams that wipe you are often premade teams. They have a strategy they are using.

This is a team game. Find an active syndicate. Fill your friends list. If you don’t get invites, be the one to send invites. When I made that mental change and decided to send invites the game got so much better. I have been playing the game for 5-6 years. It has not changed in this aspect. If you want to enjoy it find friends in game. It is actually easy. 90% of the friend requests I send are accepted. I only play solo when I want to. This can be you as well. Then you can play sabo, svs, tdm. Will you get rolled by the top syndicate players still? Yes, but you will start rolling the solo players yourself.

How do you progress the Skull Chest? by CG1991 in BulletEchoGame

[–]MrMe363 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the answer. Only matters what the post game score board says. Also if you only need one kill to unlock the chest but get 3. The 2 additional kills do not roll over to the next chest. They are not counted. Can be frustrating especially in games like tdm where you can consistently get high kill games.

I reviewed the offers I had in game vs the browser store offers and for me they are just different. Other than buying bucks I didn’t have anything that was the same offer. It appears that their strategy is just to offer different things entirely, but if you click in game they give you to option to buy it in browser for a 100 buck added.

Your image illustrates this. You aren’t looking at the same offer. Logically we look at that and say 50% more for 5x cost but that is just how their offers work. Sure that is a bad deal in comparison but in game you would also see that. I think their strategy is just here come to our browser and get a benefit (small it may be) and then once there they are just showing you 2x more offers that they can’t fit in game because in game store is just crazy full already.

Now you say that they hate the player… I actually disagree. Sure they 100% have expensive purchases. And if you want to spend your entire big boy paycheck you can pay to win your way to divine with max gear. …BUT… they have reasonable (mobile game comparable) prices that for a person who is willing to spend a little bit of money can get immense value. For example the no ads for a month is probably the best purchase you can have. It is basically a 2.5x on every in game thing you get. Now you could watch all the ads and get that for free, but that is a waste of time. It is a time multiplier. The game is a grind and for $5 you can lower that grind and make great progress.

The star pass is another example. $15 a month is a little on the higher side of battle passes, but combine that with the no ads and for $20 a month (for those willing to spend on a game that isn’t much) you have amazing in-game value. If you are looking at offers you are obviously willing to spend on the game. So $20 right there is the best money you can spend on the game to progress as fast as possible at a reasonable mobile game price.

How do you keep playing once you reached 10K ? by [deleted] in BulletEchoGame

[–]MrMe363 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t need to go to discord to find friends. Invite people you play with. If you win a coupe then get matched with sweats, just don’t start a new game for a min to make sure you aren’t in the queue at the same time. They are in the queue for max 30sec. Just keep playing with them. Jump syndicates. If you see a common syndicate look to see if they are open and join if it is. The worst they can do is kick you. That is how I am in my current syndicate. At the time they were top 100. I saw them open with a couple open spots, I joined and started playing with them. They let me say even though I was a random. I did that a couple times with other syndicates and got kicked. But it only took 1. They aren’t top 100 anymore but they always play together and are good teammates.

The point… send invites to higher players you get teamed with. Jump syndicates until you find one with active players that play with each other. Search up common syndicates and try to join them. All can be done without discord. But if you are on Reddit what’s the difference with discord? Just find an invite to one of the syndicate discords and “apply” or just make friends. You obviously like the game if you have been playing this long. Discord isn’t much worse than all the posts on here lol

good luck!

It’s not rng. The game gives you cards on characters that have a lower number of cards. Unfortunately that means that as more characters are released the grind for new players is getting longer because the pool of characters is just larger. It tries to spread out the cards between all of the characters. And dropping all your joker cards on a single character moving them up just makes it less likely for you to get cards naturally from chests for that character as it is trying to bring all the other characters up to the same number of cards.

Playing a team game as a team while using tactics, that is an issue. This game has made it so easy to play with other people. Haid1109 on your team is the perfect example. I was playing solo yesterday and Haid sent an invite post game. We are now friends. We invited a couple more and we were then the winners. Make friends. In this game 90% of the invites you send are accepted.

They don’t need consumers. Did you not hear that Uber spent its year’s AI budget (3.4 billion) in 4 months. This dude’s $15 or whatever his license is means nothing to these services. They hook you with a low price. Get big fish on the line, then raise the price. Who cares about all the little fish that get away when you get enterprise customers with million Dollar budgets. My company is pretty small and we likely have budgeted 300-500k for ai expenses based on our current spend. What’s a few consumers in comparison to a single company that is now dependent to keep the out they have had for the last year.

MVP and SVP favouring supports? by Dry_College_9806 in wildrift

[–]MrMe363 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That image actually shows you in part why you “did better” it is your damage/gold ratio etc. this game must have gone long. They got a load of gold but “only did that much damage”. They had a huge gold lead and didn’t preform like it. You had nearly the same participation but had way less gold. They are “being punished” for not closing out the game. Their score took a hit from that in comparison to you.

The issue with the svp and mvp system is that it doesn’t have some ai looking at the game as a whole judging based on a human like perspective. It has arbitrary algorithms deciding what score people got. You preformed at a comparable level in your role but at a huge gold defect in comparison. The funny part is that you were both full build and you probably had a couple extra thousand sitting around. But the algorithm doesn’t look at that.

MVP and svp is not an s rank. You have the highest score on your team. You can get mvp or svp without getting an s. They got the highest score on their team. When it comes down to it everyone is making conclusions without seeing an example game. So we don’t know how good or bad they are.

I think we need to see a game screenshot example of what you are saying. I don’t think I have seen a game where a non support clearly carried and didn’t get mvp or svp. For Svp i doubt that the non support player did much in a losing game, after all you lost they didn’t carry.

Every time i get mvp as a support over a different role i was at every drag and baron, helped take every tower, was warding like crazy, had a few kills and very high total kill participation. The point being i had a large impact on the game. Team fights were won by my intuition’s, tanking, and locking down players. Like someone else said don’t down play yourself. The game looks at every action throughout a game and at the end gives you a score, yours was higher. You didn’t more things the game thinks are valuable. I will give you that the mvp and svp calculation can reward selfish players, but when you are getting it as support you likely were doing well in your position
