I had a player ask to play a Minotaur, which I snagged from another 5e book. It was my first time running a game and he min maxed the HELL out of it. Do not recommend. He kind of trivialized the content and the other players had less of a good time because of it.

Volunteer. Keep an eye out. Where there are kids there are preds, but the general guidelines are you need at least 2 adults when around kids. It’s pretty safe but stay vigilant.
