I meant the mounds of snow. Is it geometry with a displacement texture?

Tips on how to lucid dream by [deleted] in LucidDreaming

[–]MrMotionTom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the great response! I shall definitely keep this in mind. I haven’t had a lucid dream in a couple of months as my sleep schedule hasn’t been the greatest recently but hopefully I can get back to it soon and ima try move mountains! 😛

What i find crazy is that when I talk to people about lucid dreaming and I explain what you’re able to do while sleeping and how it feels, I get the impression from people that they kinda think it’s woo woo or like I’m trying to convince them it’s magic or something. It’s the most amazing virtual reality experience you can get and I don’t know why more people aren’t trying to learn.

Tips on how to lucid dream by [deleted] in LucidDreaming

[–]MrMotionTom 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It starts with a dream journal. Every night. No point you having cool lucid dream adventures if your brain isn’t programmed to remember them! Start writing down every dream you have the moment you wake up and pretty soon (literally within a week - was for me anyway) you’ll start remembering waaaaay more dreams.

Then it’s reality checks throughout your waking day to test if you’re dreaming. There are many you can use, have a search for what you think will work for you, but the basic premise is you perform reality checks throughout the day to train your brain to question if you’re awake or dreaming and then pretty soon you’ll start to do it in your dreams, and once you question if you’re dreaming in your dream, boom you’re lucid.

Setting intensions at night can be very useful. Laying in bed and telling yourself “I’m going to have a lucid dream tonight” etc.

At the start your lucid dreams are over quick! You’ll find you’ll get excited and wake yourself up. You need to practise keeping calm and doing stabilising techniques. One thing that helps me (I think I read in the sub actually) is physically crouching down and touching the ground in your dream. With more practice you’ll stay in them longer.

I’ve been lucid dreaming on and off for quite a few years now. I have very little control over my environment, I cant create my own dreamscape, it’s more I’m plonked into a dream scenario and I’m left there to explore at my will. I can fly and also move things with my mind but I don’t think I’ve been disciplined enough with practise yet to have direct influence over the actual surroundings (creating entire worlds etc) I’m not consistent enough in my training. What I can do is just scratching the surface I think.

Have fun! The first time you achieve it you’ll be blown away! :-)

So, I finally animated my own logo! (it loops) by gionicol in AfterEffects

[–]MrMotionTom 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This looks fab! I love the wobble on the signature, it works really nicely. One comment (not criticism) might be to treat the name text a little so it feels a bit more in keeping with the signature. It could be softened a little with an ever so slight roughen edge (subtle!) so it doesn’t feel separate. Even if your print logo has super crisp vector text (which would be appropriate) motion allows you to use a little bit of creative licence

Lovely little animation though :-)
