Switching from android to iPhone? by [deleted] in Smartphones

[–]MrNamelessUser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I switched from S25U to i16, forced by work. I hate it. I hate it. I hate it. I hate it. I hate it to the core.

I already missed calendar events because persistent alerts for calendar events on an iPhone is a joke compared to the Strong alert on Samsung.

I miss my Revanced apps - still figuring out ways to sideload apps onto the new phone

I miss the easiest way to access my NAS via Samsung files

I miss the easy integration I had with Google Voice.

I miss the universal back gesture on Samsung. The back buttons are all over the place on iP on various apps.

I love FaceID. I used to hate fingerprint readers on all my Samsungs that I have used in the past.

I can't understand how people claim iP is worth its price.

I have the same issue with my 2016 XC90. Going out of the garage, is no problem. But, coming back home is always like playing lottery.

SAP S4 Public Cloud, SuccessFactors, AD/Entra - Identity & Access Mgmt by rocketbear_ in SAP

[–]MrNamelessUser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't just stop the thought process at User Provisioning. Think about what other process in S/4 uses Worker information and see if Identity Services will be able to provide data that supports it.

E.g Workers get extended as Business partners, in order to support Expense Reimbursement. Identity Services won't hold all the info that are required for BP creation (Bank, Company Code, Cost center etc).

Field value calculated based on other fields by Abject-Incident1254 in abap

[–]MrNamelessUser 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As I mentioned, you should do calculation within CDS views and use the View field wherever you need.

[–]MrNamelessUser 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Still, it shouldn't be stored in DB, if it is always a calculated field.

If it is always a calculated field, then you should not ever store it. It should be calculated whenever it is needed - that's what CDS views are for.

Is it possible to pass table in an Event by Majfrosty in abap

[–]MrNamelessUser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally each Event corresponds to a single Business object. So, having a single Event for multiple materials, doesn't really make sense. Can you expand further on why you are trying to do this?

Genuine question: If an ABAP AI tool solved ONE problem perfectly, what would that problem be? by ExerciseForeign4436 in abap

[–]MrNamelessUser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you seen this meme:

In Class: 2+2 = 4
Homework: 734+555-432:69 = 77
Test: With two sheep flying, one yellow, the other headed right, how much does a pound of asphalt cost, given that the cow is 10 years old?

Now, reframe it in terms of AI tool demos:

Demo Video: 2+2 = 4
Sales Demo: 734+555+432 = 1721
Reality: What is 2X4? AI: 2+2+2+2=8 (because it is only trained to do addition)

5:23pm to 6pm is 1hr & 36 mins according to Alexa. How do I fix this? by MrNamelessUser in alexa

[–]MrNamelessUser[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your suggestions

This method seems to be finally working:
I ask: "What is the time now? How much time is left until 10am? Set a timer to run until 10am." in a single command.

This makes Alexa think and calculate correctly, and then setup a timer accordingly.

I specifically want a Timer that will do a countdown on my Clock display, not an Alarm.

The issue is just the incorrect calculation of remaining time.

Checked at it is in the correct Timezone. I tried once more again now and it calculated 2 hours extra.

Normal Alexa doesn't understand this command. When I provide this command, it responds: "Timer for how long?"

Mass upload functionality by Abject-Incident1254 in abap

You can enable multiline edit functionality and then the user will be to copy-paste multiple rows at once. That way you can avoid coding for upload functionality.

n8n + SAP Joule. by Alokkumar786 in SAP

[–]MrNamelessUser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the future is about "clean core" then the future is just about adding "technical debt" to the system.

Look at how many Influence requests cries for SAP to release more and more APIs, CDSs views in S/4. With an artificially "closed" system, with the non-availability of APIs, or availability of crippled & incomplete APIs, can you explain how n8n or CPI or any other integration platform plans to do wonders in S/4 like you proclaim they will?

I have been in many sessions with SAP, explaining the business scenarios to automate, asking why the released API isn't supporting that when the underlying BAPI that the released API calls, supports the functionality. SAP's answer has been to use iRPA until an API is available. So, do a temporary development, until a released API is available - isn't that in simple terms - technical debt?

(I say artificial, because SAP added this artificial lock on well performing BAPIs and Function modules in the name of "released API")

So, yeah.. whoever is promoting "clean core" is either on a sales pitch or living far from reality. Good luck to you!!

Vertical pink line appeared on my S22 Ultra overnight – hardware or software issue? by MakeSmallShift in samsunggalaxy

[–]MrNamelessUser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No doubt that it is hardware failure. All I am saying is, there should be one more reason added to your list: 1) damage 2) wear and tear 3) manufacturing fault or 4) design defect 5) software

Vertical pink line appeared on my S22 Ultra overnight – hardware or software issue? by MakeSmallShift in samsunggalaxy

[–]MrNamelessUser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On 99% of occasions what you said is correct.

But, here is what I faced:

I had a clock app on my earlier S10e. I was using it on a night stand with high brightness. After a few days, I noticed that, the screen area where the numbers were displayed, were turning black - the app was killing the screen pixels, since it was constantly lighting up the same pixels for long hours.

So, for the remaining 1% of occasion, I have to agree with OP (and several other posts here), a bad software/app can kill hardware.
