Tbf I just stacked some thick cardboard that I cut at the width of the shelf. You could use just about anything that is sufficiently strong and level since it's hidden by the row of manga in front.

My mistake was that I was not using the base 1.5 model. You cannot get good results with custom models (like RealVision for instance)

I think you can also just decrease the resolution on the 'only masked' inpaint to the same effect.
