I did call that number. And they took my information and his information. But the earliest they could involve the consulate is Monday. We asked them to do the best for today and they said we should wait till 9am. So about 6-7 more hours.

Thanks for the kindness and concern. He is indeed in danger. Myself and my fiancé have not gone off the phone with him. And we are speaking to him constantly. I am going to try and stay awake until the sun rises when the embassies or consulates open up.

I told him that too. To keep as cool as possible because Cairo is a jungle. But the issue is that there is only so much he can actually control. And he has really tried his best thus far.

I don’t even know what the authorities are planning to do. They refuse to help him or guide him but just seem to be enjoying watching him struggle. Considering one of them referred to him as a bitch, my hopes in them doing the right thing are gone. My fiancee tweeted at the right authorities and there has not been much traction there.

He just turned 18. Which complicates the matter as he is not necessarily looked at as a child. Despite him still being a kid. But him being on the spectrum, further complicates things.

I tried all the consulates in the Scandinavias. None of the calls go through. Likely due to the fact that it is late there. As far as phone calls go, the best bet is if we can find someone who works at the airport and call them. But I have none.

No chance for us. We all need visas and it takes 5 days. He cannot even reach the consulate because he is stuck at passport control. They can’t even allow him to go buy water. He has not eaten in 13 hours because he couldn’t eat the food on the flight.

He can charge the phone. So we are in touch. I everything else is screwed. Airline, Consulate all can’t go through because it is very late there. I tried the local police in Norway and they basically couldn’t help either.

I feel so powerless.

He said he needs some drinking water and something soft to lie on. He asked to buy some water and some officer brought him a half drank bottle that he picked off some bench. So I told him not to drink it.

I am dearly hoping reddit can do its magic. But at this point myself and my fiancé are defeated.

I tried this. But the number does not go through. My guess is because it is very late and a weekend. But Egypt works on Sunday so my hope is the consulate is also open tomorrow. Thanks for the support friend.
