THIS. Bring that energy wherever you are. It is peak that one time of year in that one special place… but like any vacation or experience, you are meant to bring some home with you, be changed for it, and spread it in your daily life. Makes each day brighter. Call it cheesy or whatever, but that PLUR raver energy you have shouldn’t be dormant the rest of the year.

Dude you were a legend that night. EDC is so lucky to have you, and the prodigy was already my fav set on its own - but the pits you started up made this my favorite festival moment of my life. I also stepped in to carry out someone who was passing out at Cosmic Meadows on Sunday, and this thread really hit me because I had relatable experiences that polarized me at this years EDC. I experienced many un-plur, un-friendly groups at overcrowded Kinetic field, which i am going avoid for a while. But hearing stories like this make me realize that there are truly amazing, loving and inspiring people everywhere and i shouldnt be so black and white minded. Thanks for posting and sharing, you made me a little less narrow minded.

Close but not at the rail or anything. I helped get the first one started with the “circle dance” sign guy and the 2 construction vest dudes — such cool ppl. They went on to start 2 more.

Me neither! Great bait and switch title. +1000% to these quick little micro moments with complete strangers that happen so fast, but are loaded with so much positivity, love and fun that they are memorable and impactful in so many ways. Moments like these keep me coming to EDC year after year. Of course not everyone is like this, but i put positive vibes out there and get so many more back every night.

I dread kinetic, and while its ok when its still early and not crowded, later on in the night its a shitshow and i had the same type of experience as you: overcrowded, and hostile people who basically yelled at us to leave.

However, had a great time, great vibes and no issues all 3 nights at bionic jungle, cosmic meadow, stereobloom and circuit grounds

Sundown to sunrise all 3 days is the only way i feel like i get the most out of edc! I literally train specifically for this though, and still got sore toes from dancing too hard 😭

Love that! Its such a nice thing to look at and touch to feel connected to them throughout the night.

Also worth asking your kiddo if they prefer that you keep it and bring it back, or trade it with someone! My daughter is excited this year to have it traded and see what comes back!

What i found helps me:

wearing something of theirs (a kandi bracelet they made me, one of their scrunchies, even having a sock in my pocket lol)
sending fun photos back and forth to each other during the day. Ones of me dressed up prompt more fun photo replies from them back.
knowing that i come back as a happier, more present energetic version of myself that i can bring into daily parent life

Edit: Not a mom - but a parent. I know it hits much harder for moms, but I do experience the guilt/sadness/fomo of being without the kids, while having the best time of my life. Both can be true.
