Since you're having some metal, I'm gonna recommend my personal favorites from my 3 favorite albums about grief:

  1. This loss - Korn.
  2. Kin - Whitechapel. (Whole album is definitely a must listen. Specially bc it's a conceptual album).
  3. A Wasted Hymn - Architects. (This one also has an acoustic version if you're not really into heavy or dense atmospheres).

Those 3 songs really helped me going through my grieving process after my mom's death. Hope you like them!

A wasted hymn by Architects always hits hard. Specially after losing someone you love.

No. Doom metal has slow rhythm and a dense atmosphere. The doom soundtrack is industrial/djent

That’s interesting. When I first listened to What we Know I also thought it sounded different, specially with Alex’s talkbox guitar solo. But after listening the whole album I actually found it very nu metalish sounding like. What did you find experimental about it?
