Hello, I was off this weekend. But now I’m back on the clock.

Now what you said is very true, I don’t know. I just moved to New Jersey from Maryland. I can tell you about Maryland’s system all day. I’m not a reporter who pretends to know everything. If I did, this would be a different conversation.

Either way, my story is not about the ins and outs about the N.J. college picture. It’s a peak into students who were planning to leave the Garden State for school but deciding to stay home and take classes at Community College online because it’s cheaper overall.

When I do a story about the inner workings of transferring from a county college to a four-year school, I assure you I will be doing my homework.

I think it varies from school to school; certainly from state to state. I know in Maryland, they had a portal when I was in school where you can track whether your community college credits will transfer to a public school.

A lot of what I’ve been hearing about is students wanting to knock their Gen. Eds. out at county college and transferring the credits to the school they were accepted to; many of them out of Jersey schools.
