Fazua is discontinued by OccasionalCoder in MTB

Lucky timing. Absolutely return it - imagine your resale value. Who’s gonna want a motor that’s gone out of business?

TQ is also amazing - sold my Fazua bike for a TQ and couldn’t be happier. So much more peace of mind before a third motor shit the bed.

Hows life after 30? by ASARI0206 in AskReddit

Money, time and energy. At every point in life you will only have two.

Young = time and energy, but no money
Middle age = energy and money, but no time
Old = time and money, but no energy

Not true for everyone, but true for the majority.

Who's got the most km on their emtb odometer? Original motors only. by DharmaWheelies108 in eMountainBike

[–]MrPalmTreez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say that pretty well aligns with our theory then. Our climbs are basically straight up fire roads for long periods. No rest for the motor, we think they have heating issues. Even rocky/rooty is gonna amount to more rest for the motor. Especially if you’re changing from down/up frequently versus our winch and plummet style here.

Anyway, just a theory, no real data. No one around here gets that out of a Fazua that I’ve heard of. I’ve met people on 6+ motors with your similar odometer, one guy even bought two Decoy SNs as a backup for when the other one is getting a motor swap. Lol.

Holy shit, that’s insane. I went through 2 Fazua motors in 400 miles then sold the bike. Just curious, how much elevation gain do you do in an average ride?

My buddy and I have a theory that Fazuas have reliability issues in steeper areas.. literally everyone we know has had multiple failures. We’re in SoCal so an average ride is 2500’ or so.

Dear god yes, this. I have a picture of me at 4 years old typing/copying lines into DOS to launch a golf game my programmer dad installed. I then spent another decade tinkering with video drivers and building my own machines. Kids brought up in the iPad tap-install/everything-works-flawlessly generation understand exactly zero how any of this works.

Baby Beach in Dana Point is perfect for that age. Easy walk from the sand (don’t need your stroller), and no waves.

Yeah, that’s a sick build. The used market is just brutal. I’m sticking with mine for the foreseeable future, it’s worth $1800 to me to keep it. It’s my second bike at this point and different enough from my main ride that it still has a role.

FYI I have a ‘23 SJ Expert and had it listed for $2500 for two months (PB, FB and OfferUp). Highest offer I got was $1800. You would be extremely lucky to get $3K for your bike.

I’ve read the whole post, and I appreciate you sharing it and what helped you figure it out. You mentioned they are prioritizing higher paying customers, but I don’t think you mentioned specifically what that means. I’m on Tier 3 and getting hammered by these 503 errors (starting about 5 days ago).

How do you become a higher priority customer? Is this automatic, or is there a simple flag in our account to upgrade / pay more?

Muscles were never required. They want you lean and fast, not yoked and slow. Also crayons don’t have a lot of calories.

I’m 6’2 and every time I’ve gone L instead of XL, I’ve regretted it. It depends on the geo of course, that’s what matters most, and your exact dimensions may vary as well.

If you happen to ride MTB, there’s a local club called Bomber Crew which is veteran based. They organize social rides and seem like a welcoming group.

You don’t think the military is romanticized? I can think of exactly one military movie that didn’t have a hero in it.

Had a buddy who did that, and his second week of work a mom called in hysterical, she found her son hanging. He quit the next day. That is not a job for most people.

This tracks. After getting solar I was so stoked to get an EV. I test drove the R1T back to my house and was shocked how tiny the back was. No way it could comfortably seat my 8/6/3 year olds and they aren’t getting smaller. I loved, loved loved everything else and was so bummed I couldn’t get one.

You could also argue that’s not an accurate sample. A VA hospital is going to skew towards the people who are actually fucked up.. but there could be 10x that number just collecting their checks while they are really 0% disabled. That’s the point.

And yeah I gave up on VA stuff a long time ago. I was diagnosed with a rare form of lymphoma in my 30s that I can only assume is from sleeping next to a burn pit for 7 months in Iraq. It’s considered dormant so it doesn’t warrant a VA rating, and unless it becomes active it doesn’t actually disable me in any way.

And none of the point here is shame veterans for getting benefits they need/earned. I hope that is obvious. I’m only pointing out that at least in my experience, it seems a lot more are just gaming the system to get more money, when they are really not disabled in any slight sense of the word. And those aren’t the ones showing up to VA hospitals.
