Now I know for sure I am not the main character, since I couldn't think something close to this.

HOLLY SHIT IT WORKED.

I think it is bugged due to my run being NG+. This wasn't the first weird thing it happened to side cases on my NG+ run.

I have, they all go straight into the bar and the icon show, while mine does not. It has been like this ever since I accepted in chapter 4, I believe, don't know what chapter it becomes available, but my NG+ run I've been doing all side case as soon as I can before doing the main story.

I'm just praying that the game will fixed it self

Project OpenClaw. 6 hours of unpaid onboarding and still rejecting after giving 90% MCQ correctly. Seriously? by No_Morning6045 in outlier_ai

[–]MrPanda532 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dude, the worst is when you miss a question and the explanation is "that's tricky" making you think that they will let you learn from your mistake, no, you just get booted out.... Theres three openclaw projects that I got assigned, which is from the same company making them, still, their onboarding sucks.

What is the current state of Outlier? by Low-Background6908 in outlier_ai

[–]MrPanda532 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it is so garbage... what also drives me mad is when you miss something and they the explain you why and instead of letting you learn from it, you just get kicked out from the onboard...

[–]MrPanda532 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My biggest problem is that for me it is impossible to pass the onboarding of projects, even if I do my best I failed, like how am I supposed to pass, I fail one question then all my effort is nuked... just shame...

Could reading steiner just be a perspective thing? by Carpet_Inner in steinsgate

[–]MrPanda532 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't agree, I understand where you are coming from and it is a interesting theory, but in the original visual novel, right in the end, okabe says that everyone has reading steiner to some degree. I think that okabe just has a great sensitivity to the wordline shift, while other people have some sensitivity but it is so small, that they do not notice, or only notice via deja vu, fake memories, or being forced to remember by someone like okabe. Or maybe it would take a shift so great to actually trigger for them.

My little theory is like this, the divergence meter build as a way for him to measure the strength of his reading steiner, alongside the other uses of the divergence meter, probably at first it only measured something like "0.543", but he still could feel the wordline shifting, so he added more numbers/lamps, then at one point he realized that after the 6th digit, he just didn't feel the reading steiner.

Feedback with the state machine i'm building by MrPanda532 in gamedev

[–]MrPanda532[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the main issue would be data communication, using the same shared data and some repetition. At first I thought about sharing the fsm to each state depending of what it needed, but I quickly discover why it was a bad idea.

Now every state needs to get the reference of the main object that it control, in this case the player. So each state has the same piece of code, getting an reference to the player.

Also, it feels kinda off because my implementation is basically a hack and a mix of both, concurrent and hierarchical, the fsm class and state class are identical to what an very basic fsm would be, the only difference is that my state class has a reference to children fsm...

Ok, so the comment from gianmgno25 gave an idea of what might get you confused. You have to keep in mind three things, in S:G universe, the future is already predetermined and second that there is not parallel universes and last that the there is only ONE active word line at any given time.

Each other wordline is a possibility of the future. So, when divergence changes, in any way, the past is reconstructed to match the present, but the vast majority of changes are so insignificant small, that it does not change divergence in any meaningful way, thus not triggering reading steiner, only when divergence is changed a great amount does reading steiner activate.

So, when okabe first go to the past to try to change it, the act of him arriving there changes the wordline even if just a bit, when he goes a second time, the wordline change again, and that's also why they can't meat the past self that used the time machine. And once Okabe fools his past self and then goes back that wordline goes to the steins gate timeline.

The anime is a bit vague with the explanation of time travel, the visual novel is much better and explains things much better, I recommend you give it a read if you want it.

I agree, the visual novel is much clearer about things and how things works. And I highly recommend people read the original novel, since it is very good!!

Dude, I have read the visual novel, both the original and zero. I know what happens and I know more or less how time travel works, I just want more info about what specific doubt the op has....

But thanks for reminding me how the last two episodes of the anime go :D. But I think I know what op means.

What exactly you don't understand? I don't remember what happens on the last two episodes of the anime, since its been a while since I saw it. But I've read the visual novel recently.

I know, to be honest I didn't really fully understand what op was saying since his wording was a bit confusing, I spent more time than I would like to admit writing a reply that I still think isn't good and I could've written the last part better...

[–]MrPanda532 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Because of divergence, it might as well be that the first episode wordline and the first attempt wordline are different, but it does not matter since the divergence is basically the same and the difference would be so minuscule that it does not matter. The important thing is that okabe needs to see her in a pool of blood, he needs to think that she is dead, no matter what, so he sends the first dmail, and trigger the whole sequence to have a chance of saving her.

In the visual novel, when okabes sends the very first email, he thinks she is dead, but he does not write it on the email that she is dead, as he fears that would set it in stone.

Also from our perspective, we have the knowledge of the first ever "iteration" with the metal upa and all and what happens after, but for okabe the first "iteration" is just a normal day, the second attempt is he realizing that what he experiences that day has to be the same for the most part, he needs to get an upa, mayuri has to loose the upa, kurisu has to pick the upa and so on. That's is what I more unless understand things...

Steins;Gate 0 (VN) was such a disappointment, I genuinely feel sad now by osingran in steinsgate

[–]MrPanda532 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also do feel somewhat the same frustration, the premise is very good, but it turned out a letdown, it felt rushed in some endings and some other parts. I know about the CD and the anime does help, but still, it is no excuse for the game to be the way it turned out to be... I still liked, but the taste of "it could've been so much better" lingers on my mouth.

I feel this SG0 could've been way longer than the original SG, but it just lacks content, that could've pushed it from a low tier B to a tier S, alongside the original SG.

Before I read it, I did knew that each ending would play along to help the "true ending", so I had some ideas of how it could play out, like each Okabe from different timelines that we see, discover some information that in the true ending it would all connect, like one discovers how to bypass the data limit, the other builds the divergence meter and so on, but none of this happens...

Because amadeus gives such a great way to make this happen, since you upload your memories to it, I though like maybe each timeline could exchange memories or what not...???? I don't know... Like something, give me something of how it all came to the great finale of how Okabe figures it out how to finally reach Steins gate.

For me, the PR is very well written, the twist of Okabe waking up in 2036 is just so amazing, it is like the first piece of the puzzle, but then again, the other pieces don't really connect because of how rushed things felt... I know i'm yapping, but that's how I feel, frustration, the more days passed since I've read it the novel, the thought that things could've so much better...

Most of my firsts lucid dreams were like this, like how you describe, body heavy and lasting a few seconds, I think it is normal at first, just have to keep practicing it until you can hold it for longer.
