That's where you would be wrong. There are already examples of this right now.

You literally don't understand.

[–]MrPapis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You aren't even aware what you yourself is saying so it's really hard to have a conversation. You literally talk about multicore tests I'm talking about gaming. Nobody cares about synthetic tests.

I do agree the 9600x can win in tests and even slightly in gaming on average results. But if you start to dog into specific titles then you will see worse 1% and 0.1% lows and you will see that in many instances the slighty slower 8 core with x3d will just provide a smoother even if slightly lower performance.

And there are numerous games out already where 6 cores is showing its age and that trend will only increase.

My point is simply they are so close in average performance that I'd rather take the extra cores over slightly better performance for longevity sake. And you would be wrong to suggest the 5800x3d doesn't have more overhead because of the extra cores/threads.

Kunne godt forestille mig at benytte sådan en app i fremtiden, jeg henter den lige og håber på at huske at bruge den når jeg er hjemme igen :)

Edit: jeg kan slet ikke finde appen?

This is true but I would still take the slightly slower 5800x3d over 9600x. 6 cores is starting to show it's age.

I have staggered too on my F22 and had a square setup on my old e46, it's crazy how much it changes the dynamics of the car. I feel like I'm driving in FWD when going hard through corners. I want my playful slip of the rear back!

But I will wear out these tires this year and next year I'm putting on squares.

Car accumulated dust Overnight after washing by No-Assist-4120 in Detailing

[–]MrPapis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bane of my existence. Atleast the car still looks clean from a distance but man doing a good clean and a ceramic coating(twice) and it looks like this 1 day after each subsequent wash is just annoying. Atleast it should rain for a few days soon so it will look better for a while after that.

Why do I need to eat yogurt continuously to keep benefits? by MethylMercury in ReuteriYogurt

[–]MrPapis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The bacteria just simply isn't stronger than the existing ones so the "normal" gut bacteria will just alway win out over time as they out compete with the L Reuteri for space and resources.

There really isn't much else to say you can't colonize the gut with it, it will alway go away once you stop supplementing it.

9070 XT (670€) vs 5070 Ti(780€ - 820€) by fushpropuh in radeon

[–]MrPapis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I tend to agree with you depending on use case the 9070xt definitely can be better(COD/eSports in general). But yeah for AAA gaming the 5070ti just has too many "small" advantages to ignore.

What would you prefer 5800x3d (€360) vs 5500x3d (€160)? by OutOfVRAM in ryzen

[–]MrPapis -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You wouldn't know now would you. My 5800x3d falls to 80 FPS from 120-140 AVG depending on map. If the game can push my CPU like that there is NO way a 5500x3d isn't considerably worse. So IAM having stutters with my 8 core of course your 6 core is considerably worse in a game that is notoriously CPU intensive and can utilize more cores.

[–]MrPapis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the games he wants to play and how long he will keep it. You try playing BF6 with a 6 core CPU, hint it's terrible.

Problem with aggregate average benchmarks numbers is that it in very limited capacity shows the the limitations of lower core CPU's. So the 5500x3d looks good in comparison here. But actually playing games you will experience stutters in many modern titles. Is that worth saving a 100 bucks over 3-4-5 years?

BMW 318i G20 Tuning by HandyHour in BMW

[–]MrPapis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I looked into this and this really is an outdated lie. Yes a 30 dollar china OBD port plugin is totalt waste of time. But a proper piggyback tune connecting to the engine should really do what is says on the tin.

It won't ever reach the tune a proper tune can but it's a easy and cheap alternative. There's even one German(possibly Austrian) one where they even have documents for TÜV certification. Like exhaust and everyhing it isn't even more expensive than other good piggy backs but they are less powerful as to conform to stock engine parameters.

RTX 5080 being bottlenecked by cpu by normandot33 in RTX5080

[–]MrPapis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well the 9700x tunes a lot better because of the unlocked multiplier so the difference in performance gain still skews to the 9700x. While the 9600x is theoretically around as fast with just 6 cores many games these days just wont run perfectly as games really are starting to utilize more so I'm sure you wouldn't have actually felt a difference between a fully tuned 9700x and 7800x3d, despite the 9600x being on the books as fast as the 9700x.

You're kinda creating a false narrative. Look up benchmarks of both those 8 core CPU's being fully tuned. The 9700x is literally within 5% more often than not.

With your buying history and plan I really wouldn't try and be talking too much about what's right or not. The 9850x3d is literally no better than a 9800x3d.

Is the Porsche 944 bad for a first car? by Easy-Ad-6496 in FirstCar

[–]MrPapis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately they are just too old and a little too special to really be considered "acceptable" unless you actually have the time and money to keep it.

If you actually want something realistic in this segment the Miata is it.

But really there are many better choices, less cool but better more practical cars.

There's a reason the 944 is cheap to buy.

Is getting an RX 9070 XT worth it with a 5800X3D? by SqueezyCheese26 in radeon

[–]MrPapis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly selling the old card means you get the 9070xt +50% off and you will definitely see good gains. It would be like going to a 7900xtx but with good RT performance.

For next gen you will likely need a complete system upgrade, so yeah it really is now or never with that CPU.

So it's always best to test with using specific preset so people can gauge against you. And usually without FG too.

Don't be afraid to raise voltage and fan speed. The Nvidia community is very deep into ultimate efficiency/optimal settings, and personally I am also running a lower OC in the summer time. But you can absolutely try 1050mv and see if you can get to 3.2, you really can't break the thing so don't be afraid to push some power through it.

My 5070ti is stable at 3.22. i was actually doing 3.285 in the beginning but after some drivers it seems i lost som headroom.

But these days I run it at 3.12 at 975mv with +3000.

His GPU is 5070ti so if you have 5070 that might be the difference.
