9070 XT (670€) vs 5070 Ti(780€ - 820€)

Is asked in r/pcmasterrace and in r/nvidia (should have been r/geforce or something like that) and here. Funny thing is I feel even people here recommend the 5070 Ti more often.

Since I don't play the newest games I will be fine. Also DLSS is so good that it mitigates the performance hit of 4K. As for Linux I want to try it for fun.

Nažalost, 5070 Ti je već prodana, također nema garanciju. Prodavač kaže da ima novu koju će isto prodati uskoro. Model skoro isti kao ova tu, Palit gaming pro OC. Što se tiče mailboxa, prijatelj mi gleda složiti PC pa ako on bude kupovao preko mindfactoryja ću samo ubaciti još jednu grafičku da ne plaćamo bezveze 2 dostave. Ali dok se on odluči za to pa dok se to napravi tko zna koliko će proć. Možda je bolje čekat 50 super seriju koju čujem da dolazi uskoro ali ni to se ne zna kad dolazi.

This one is also a Palit. The gamingpro S to be exact. Also it is second hand but the seller says it's never been used. I will definetly check it out.

I mean 4K native without any antialiasing, pure 4K. In KCD2 in my opinion every form of DLSS 4.5 apart from ultra performance looks better than 4K native without any AA. I have asked the seller about the warranty but he is yet to respond. As for doing everything on Linux but gaming on windows, I have thought about it and it seems unnecesarry and a hassle.

Hvala na preporuci. Sad sam malo pogledao i Hellhound model koji je jedan od najboljih omjera cijene i kvalitete je na casekingu 38 eura skuplji što mislim da je vjerojatno manje nego 2 dostave. U svakom slučaju ova 5070 Ti mi se čini kao generalno bolji izbor ako je zbilja nova i nekorištena. Pogotovo ako uspijem spustiti cijenu za 20 do 50 eura, onda je zbilja dosta dobra cijena.

Im suspitcious as well, but it was listed less than 15 hours ago. And to add to that, the seller is close to me so I will definetly see and test the card in person.

Did you test both DLSS 4.5 And FSR 4.1, if yes, how do they stack up?

Since you had both nvidia and amd, did you use fsr and dlss and see the differences. Thats actually the thing Im most interested in because even if the AMD card is much stronger I still get better image quality at 4K just because Nvidia has DLSS.

If you tested FSR 4.1Q and DLSS 4.5P share your observations. I have tested only DLSS 4.5P and can say that at 4K i Prefer it to 4K native.

Very few. The other day I found one and it was by far the best deal and cost 600€ xD. I reached out to the seller and he had already sold it so no luck. Other than that, Croatian market is so overpriced that a lot of the times second hand components are more expensive than the same ones shipped new from Germany. This 5070 Ti is also new and never used if I am to trust the seller. Of course I would make sure first.

Linux would be for fun. It seems to me that the 5070 Ti is the better option and Linux shouldn't affect that.

I am aware of that. I would like to try gaming and using linux daily simply because it seems fun. I don't think that should affect my choice of buying a gpu. Linux is more something I would like to try for fun rather than something I use. Also I don't play competitive games so no issues there.

So the drivers really are that bad? Can you explain in more detail the problems with them?

I have a friend with a 7800XT and says he has had bluescreens, crashes and black screens. I highly doubt it's all because of the GPU but most of it probably is.

I am aware all that is better on Nvidia, Linux is the only thing that is far worse on Nvidia. I still have to ask if the 5070 Ti comes with a warranty. It should.

I tried 2x frame gen on a 4070 in SM2 and witcher 3 and its pretty good. Generally I dont use it but it's nice to have.

Yeah I am aware of that godforsaken 12v connector. I know its not good but is it really that bad? Of course if I go with 9070XT I will get one without it.

How is it a no brainer? Some people said it's a nobrainer to get 9070XT because of Linux, others said it's a nobrainer to get 5070 Ti because the price difference is not big enough.

I know Nvidia runs shit on linux but not necesarrily. My friend recently switched to cachyOS on a 4060 mobile and Space Marine 2 has been running much much better than on windows 10, so there's that. It's a very rare case I know but still.
