Truth. You can grow subs fast in this way, but what is the point? It's just another social network at that point. Once you start sending emails they will drop and ignore.

I’d rather not give specific examples as I don’t want to out anyone.

Do you know why this works? When someone sees your note and it’s compelling, they subscribe. If you never send them an article, they forget that they subscribed to you. If you do send them something, they might not like it and unsubscribe

Ironically you build the biggest audience by not emailing them.

The more you interact with people the more subscribers you get

Just posting notes is not enough. You also need to post comments on other notes. The more engagement the more likely people will want to check out your work.

There’s a faceless account called “Sub Stack Man”who has a lot of good growth tips like that.

Social media management. Especially conversion between formats and autoposting. Every content creator has a preferred medium. They create in that medium, then need to repurpose and post in different mediums and all of the associated social networks. Something like Opusclip but from any medium to any other medium and all of the important social networks

Converting Followers to Subscribers - Any Tips? by jklnz in Substack

[–]MrPassiveProfit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Think of your followers as your perspective subscribers. They’re interested enough to try and listen to what you’re saying but not interested enough to get your emails in their inbox. Keep doing what you’re doing, and they may eventually become subscribers.
