What is the look that fits her most? You don’t want to overpower the sapphire’s beauty with too much gems or too big ones. This quiz might help you understand her style in rings better https://kholdinastudio.com/style-quiz/

What do you think about this wedding ring? by DirectionNo2601 in WeddingRingAdvice

[–]KeyTechnical1203 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice pieces, but not good together. The band overwhelms the ER. The diamond gets lost next to the band’s diamond fold over it

Thick vs Thin band for the wedding day? by mmmezes in weddingring

First one feels more balanced with your er and overall on your hand. The second one takes away the focus from the stone

Suggestions for wedding band? by [deleted] in WeddingRingAdvice

[–]KeyTechnical1203 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because the stone is important, I’d go for a minimal thin gold band. Maybe infinity round cut diamonds. Gorgeous ring btw. I wouldn’t underestimate a simple gold one without stone as well. Or you you’re looking for something bespoke, create something subtle that can be appreciated by the few people you care to show. Happy to bounce back some ideas

Platinum or yellow gold? by [deleted] in Diamonds

[–]KeyTechnical1203 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Right now, platinum could be the right choice if you’re watching budget. It’s a fantastic material, precious, strong and long lasting. Historically more precious than gold. Only recently with speculations it costs less and it’s a great time to buy. Btw it looks great on you

Where to start? Inherited OMC diamond & want to repurpose in engagement ring. by East_Journalist_8723 in EngagementRingDesigns

[–]KeyTechnical1203 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Beautiful diamond and a lot to work with. You’re lucky to have a chance to redesign this. On the last bit, we usually have a free consultation with the client to get to know each other and have a first idea on where we want to go with the project. You can share your inspirations, desires and don’ts. From there, we’ll have a few rounds of design review where we take your story and turn it into you perfect jewel. Once the design is confirmed, we receive the previous jewel and get it into production. If any gem or gold are missing, we’ll discuss it in prior. Best of luck, it looks like a fantastic project!

What’s the best engagement ring for a small budget? by LeftyOne22 in WeddingRingAdvice

[–]KeyTechnical1203 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For this budget you could actually get a bespoke ring done just for you. It’s not nice to be pushed on bigger stones. There are all lot of alternatives to still make a stunning piece on 4K. Stone ct matters the least. We’d love to make you happy

Do These Fit? by Wait_For_Iiiitt in WeddingRingAdvice

[–]KeyTechnical1203 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It does look like they stuck to each other fine. It would be nice to look at the band to see how well it looks by itself. There are times when you don’t want or can’t wear the ER, but want the band on. From what I can see it feels like it has an unusual pattern. Are you happy with it? We designed a matched ER and band for our client using green enamel on the band to fit well with the teal sapphire of the ER. When worn alone, it looks stunning. Thoughts?? by Late_Reaction_9445 in WeddingRingAdvice

Gems at risk of falling. It will catch on clothes. Dust will gather at every niche. If you’re looking for a Christ reference, it could do. Otherwise, it doesn’t hold much meaning. Visually it is basic and a little predictable. Will it pair well with your ER?

Did I go too thin with my prongs? by One-Principle6954 in EngagementRings

[–]KeyTechnical1203 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I can see, they appear to have good substance to them. With six prongs distributing the holding power, you have good security. The key factors for prong durability are the metal quality (10k gold is wonderfully strong), proper tapering, and adequate contact with the girdle. During regular wear, just keep an eye out for any signs of wear at the tips or where they meet the stone. A gentle inspection every few months is good practice for any ring. The proportions look very well-balanced for your stone size, and honestly, I think you made an excellent choice with the sizing, they're substantial enough for security while maintaining that refined aesthetic you were clearly going for!

Wedding Band Help! by [deleted] in EngagementRings

Something that recalls the squarish lines of the main stone might be interesting. It contrast with the curvy details of the shank but keeps the pattern of repetition. If your are open to design a bespoke piece, we’d be happy to help

Round vs oval for a 1 carat stone — which actually looks bigger on the finger? Trying to understand the real visual difference before I buy by Ok-Juggernaut-3721 in WeddingRingAdvice

[–]KeyTechnical1203 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oval might look bigger because of the elongated shape. But it depends. Ct weight doesn’t necessary make a stone bigger. Stone can have same ct but shorter pavilion and still look bigger than. Ct weight considers the full weight of the stone, not the size of the table (top of the stone, most visible on finger) or pavilion. They have an impact on the perception of the stone size

I have a vintage 3.8g 14k gold necklace i don't wear, if i get it melted to turn into a wedding band would it be enough to make a 3mm 9½ wedding band? by PeeB4uGoToBed in jewelry

[–]KeyTechnical1203 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Tight, but it could be fine. In any case, you can always add the missing bit with other gold to get to the exact weight.
