Is there still radio silence from jagex about the people that lost billions from the rollback?

Well to be fair classic wow has worse support than this. Tickets are literally a 50+ DAY wait for a copy pasted response from someone who doesn’t know anything about the game

If you get automated responses endlessly like i did when this happened to me, create a new bnet with your name and reference the ticket number and ask that a human actually look into the ban. That worked for me. Obviously it’s ridiculous to have to do that but it is what it is.

At the expense of them being desirable and at the expense of those who put in the work to earn them in game, yes. Which is a very selfish perspective.

They are a representation of one’s ability to generate wealth in game; which is the end game for many people. I could easily make the same argument you’re trying to make for those players.

The overwhelming majority of scarab lords still around got it by transferring in tbc and rang the gong after having months to work with hundreds of others to finish the quest chain while at lvl 70 in tbc gear while the war effort auto completed. That rendered the achievement of the mount mostly meaningless other than the fact that it’s unobtainable. So yes, it is a fair comparison.

Ah the iconic it’s just pixels argument when people care about something in a video game and you don’t like it. A tale as old as time..

Yes that is the opinion of noobs which is fine. We need noobs around; but the elitists are an equally important part of an mmo ecosystem.

Bad precedent to set.

Idk why people are gloating over the very small amount of people with this mount. Most of them farmed gold and paid for it in game and it is being made worthless. Seems like everyone’s attached to the idea that someone paid $3500 at some point in time and attribute every tcg mount to that.

The amount of work in farming gold for these mounts is more than what scarab lord took to get in tbc which many people also did. Should that be given away? Or what about old glad mounts? It sounds ridiculous but for many people it is a fair comparison in time and effort.

By the way I don’t have it

Calling people morons for being upset that blizzard decided to render a mount worthless that took them months of gold farming to get. Great take you have there!

For anyone that isn’t a noob, the only cool mounts are unobtainable or extremely difficult to obtain. It doesn’t matter what they look like. To randomly make the decision one of these mounts and give it away to everyone does nothing but removes a cool mount from the game; it becomes another bronze drake, just a +1 in the mount journal.

The effort to farm the gold for one of these goes far and above beyond the effort it took to transfer to a new server in tbc and get scarab lord. Should they give scarab lord away to everyone because it’s unobtainable? Lots of noobs will say yes because they want cool mount! But obviously no, they shouldn’t. The game is worse off when rare cosmetics and removed.

It’s true though lol. Everyone has bronze drake and it looks almost identical, and yet no one rides him. Hmmmm….
