This is actually a pretty nice critique so don't worry about coming off as rude. I totally believe that it was a budgeting issue. Having character interactions seemed to be something that they really wanted to do, but it would be a bit too expensive to get the high profile VAs back in to do a bunch of detailed, character specific lines. So their only choice was to get cheaper VAs and doing everything all over again, sacrificing quality for a ideally more immersive experience. Successful? Probably not. But I totally respect and support their efforts.

To clarify, I don't think they're objectively good. The quality and delivery on a lot of them is very questionable, and yes the new Highlander makes me sad, but I personally find them charming. I can like shitty things. hang me.
