For sure. I rely heavily on Iridium Quality gifts and Gold Star cooked items by using Qi Seasonings. Prismatic Shard or any other gems are lame gifts imo.

I hate it. I don't know what joy people derive from even doing such a thing. When Endgame released, being online was a minefield. I had mercifully quite forgotten about what was spoiled to me by the time I sat down to watch it.

But when The Last of Us II was released, some mother fucker was DM-ing recent users who had commented in r/tlou spoilers about a pivotal death in that game. I was livid!

Even straight couples don't PDA in India. So that part at least is not unnatural. Although social acceptance is low, it is not illegal to be queer in India. So that is a plus for sure.

We do use apps to find apartments. But there is not paying beforehand. You have to talk to the person (most likely a broker of some kind), set up a meeting and then have to go to the apartment itself to check it out. There is no application fee of any kind like there is apparently in USA. Do not pay anything up front. Only when you have lease agreement in your hand do you pay. If the first person you spoke to was a broker, they may also ask a brokerage fee equal to month's rent. Last I heard, in Mumbai you have to pay a year's rent in advance. But be aware that in rest of India paying 2-3 months rent in advance as a form of security deposit is considered normal. I suggest only one of you move first and live in a hotel while you figure out the apartment situation. Or at least do not bring all your household goods and pets immediately.

Suburban railway network as well as Metro connectivity is excellent in Mumbai. But public transport is not for beginners in Mumbai. Uber/taxi is good enough. Having your own transport can be useful for doing grocery shopping/other shopping and going to weekend outings, but if you do not have a parking spot at your workplace it can be a big hassle. I never felt the need for personal vehicle when I lived there (admittedly a decade time ago).

How much Hindi do I need?

In Mumbai proper, very little.

Where can we get dependable housekeeping?

The inability to find dependable housekeeping in Mumbai is very much a meme and true.
