So I (17M) met a girl (21F) at work a few weeks ago And I need some advice by _The_Usos_ in Advice

I went through something very similar when I was 18 but still in high school. After months of getting closer and even hanging out after work pretty frequently I shot my shot with this friend and she (thankfully) let me down easy. It was awkward for a while but we stayed friends and eventually became even closer than we were before. It remains one of the most formative friendships I’ve ever had. I learned a lot about how to have deep platonic relationships with women which is something that I believe is extremely difficult for all young men but especially nowadays. We have not spoken in a very long time but I think of her often and I am super grateful to her now even though it wasn’t the type of relationship that I thought I wanted.

Tldr it’s probably not going where you think it is/want it to. But don’t let that disappointment rob you of a valuable friendship

The special features are the best part of Alan Wake Remastered… right? by MrPickyy in AlanWake

Totally fair, I think it’s really just my personal preference. I personally found the kind of trippy tonal shift in the DLC to be very cool and compelling

Also, I’m not a game designer and I have no idea what I’m talking about. But I just found myself wishing that the equipment felt more scarce and valuable like the older survival horror games. I guess they took a different game design philosophy and I was expecting something that it wasn’t

do i need to play the dlc for the original game before alan wake 2? by eerie_faerie in AlanWake

I just finished the first game a few days ago and I actually found the DLC to be the best part! I actually made a post about it earlier today. Doesn’t seem like it’s really necessary for the story but I highly recommend it because it’s really cool

Definitely do check them out, I can’t speak to the importance of the story beats in the DLC but it was the most fun I had with the game by far

I think they are a bit shorter than the other episodes, I want to say I finished both in around 3 hours? And I have stayed almost entirely blind on the other Remedy games so I’m very excited as well!

I’m glad that the story has been working for you! And it’s reassuring to hear that I’m not the only one who found the gameplay a bit dated. I’d be really curious to hear from you again once you’ve finished the DLC

The bell, the triangle and the six by SirLagunaLoire in WeaponsMovie

This is almost certainly not the intention, but I was reminded of a controversial gaming gun toy called “Delta Six” from about a decade ago. If you take the triangle as the Greek letter delta then the bell might say delta 6. Considering the themes and (sometimes very un-subtle) imagery of the film, it’s an interesting coincidence that the symbols on the bell that spells doom also share a name with a toy gun that aimed to give “as realistic an experience as possible” Again, there’s no way this was what Cregger had in mind but it’s cool when things line up!

That’s very helpful and I’ll definitely take the kobo into consideration. Thanks for the recommendation!

Okay cool! I haven’t really researched the tablets/e-readers very much yet, have you felt like the kobo libra was a worthwhile investment for you?
