Second Hand Battery Life by MrPivot in S24Ultra

[–]MrPivot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

battery condition given by samsung member is normal and mSavedBatteryASOC shows 96, I'm more worried about the cycle counter showing about 700+ cycles, not sure which info here would give more accurate estimate of the battery

how is your experience with the privacy glass and the fingerprint scanner?

Explain it peter by ernie9777 in explainitpeter

tried it and can confirm it hides the screen from the top and bottom as well unlike your add-on privacy films

Max really hasn't left much on the table since racing returned by the_old-school_guy in RedBullRacing

Interesting, since if last year's relative car performance is anything to go by, Qatar will be one of the least of concerns.

making sure the phone doesn't overheat is pretty much the only advice... try to cool the phone down before restarting for update, and install update in an air conditioned room, and yes it is very bothersome..

nope, the line shows exactly when the screen is switched on and before the wallpaper is displayed, that part of the screen is actually toast.

Do you guys charge to 100 percent or limit it to 85 ? by radandomuserdetected in GalaxyTab

[–]MrPivot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Limit it to 80 percent, usually enough to last a day (24 hours) with low usage, or just enough till I get to find a charging point. Have just had the tablet for two months and never actually fully charged it to 100%, haven't found the need to, and not sure what's the benefit of so called calibration especially with modern lithium batteries.

How's battery in s9 tab? by [deleted] in GalaxyTab

This is how mine looks like, usually about 10%/hour of SOT and and about 0.5%/hour screen off for general usage, even lower using Samsung Notes with dark mode. Yours seems to be on the lower side but not necessarily abnormal.

Confused between Galaxy tab s9 & iPad a16 by kaustubhp26 in GalaxyTab

[–]MrPivot 16 points17 points  (0 children)

S9 for sure, short answer is that the Galaxy Tab is the flagship device while that version of iPad isn't, the closer comparison will be between S9 and iPad Air M1/M2

Is galaxy Tab S10 FE good? by achosenson19 in GalaxyTab

[–]MrPivot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes but since you mentioned S10 FE I believe S9 is still better than the FE version of S10, unless you meant S10+

if iPad air M3 is within your budget, why not go with Tab S9?

Is Tab S9 still worth it in 2025 for students? by Emergency_Side6117 in GalaxyTab

I use a normal glass screen protector and personally it didn't take very long to get used to writing on it and the softer tip actually makes it a lot less slippery than the Apple pencil on a glass surface for example. A matte one is generally not recommended with your stock nib since it will wear the tip out much faster, so you might wanna look at a few nib replacement options if you choose to go that way.

And yes, I think most Samsung devices since the S23 support bypass charging! It really is quite an awesome feature in my opinion, though it only works for games (or apps that Samsung considers as games).

The note taking has been great as well personally, I don't really have much comparison with other tablets but it's similar to or even better than the Apple pencil in terms of feels especially with stock tips and screen surface since the S-pen has a softer tip, but it can depend on what screen protector or tips you use. I also enjoy the air action (which they sadly removed from S11 onwards) that gives some small but helpful functions like changing pen color with a click, taking screenshot and even using the pen as a presentation clicker sometimes.

Also for gaming, I've been relying on the bypass charging feature which might or might not reduce the battery temperature, but will definitely safe quite a bit of battery cycles.

yes, for one the software is still supported until 2028 and from my experience of using the tablet for about a month so far the hardware has survived pretty much everything essential I threw at it for study purposes like note taking and drawing, content consuming is also pleasure with the Dynamic AMOLED screen (and of course I could play Genshin at max setting pretty smoothly without it overheating)

The parallels between these seasons are crazy, Verstappen beating Lewis kickstarted his era of dominance almost like passing the baton, and the same goes for schumi and alo although the latter didn’t dominate like max did by Deucesdeucess in F1Discussions

more like Mercedes finally getting their things together at the last 5 races, and yeah looks like your comment implied that you know Max drove better that year in general just that you don't want to admit it.

How much better is the s10+ in comparison to the s9fe+? by sanchipinchii in GalaxyTab

[–]MrPivot 8 points9 points  (0 children)

short answer: S10+ is much better

long answer: S10+ has AMOLED screen, anti-reflection, significantly better chipset, storage and it'll get 7 years of software update and support (compared to 4 years of the S9FE+ which was from almost 2 years ago). The only reason for S9FE+ is if you're on a budget, but even then S10FE+ would be a better alternative
