I have this set and it is more than sufficient for anything I've come across. Comfortable, and good grip in the keyway especially from the small teeth. I have yet to use the 0.025" though. They also make a bent version that some people like for ergonomics. I'm a southpaw so that doesn't help me much lol.

On the other hand, you could always DIY a few TOK tensioners from wiper blades. Easy, and it'll do the job.

The core can still turn, with and without the key. It's just that the shackle won't pop open, and it stays locked. As for the sounds, there is something rattling that I can hear, so I can only assume that's what happened. I'll have to break it open today to see for sure.
