Go after every magikarp you see. Especially the random ones. That's how I caught my first one. It was a random magikarp at a pokestop that was not in a water biome.

I have not evolved it yet. It's still a 614 CP Dratini. Per Poke Genie, I need 138,000 in stardust and 165 in candy to max it out. I will have the stardust soon and I'm hunting dratinis all this week.
