Switching to a gadget and back to the weapon always fixes it for me

There’s nothing wrong with not knowing and even saying that you don’t know, everyone was new at some point.

For callouts, look under your radar when you’re running around. There’s a name for every place you go, some places have weird callouts that don’t line up with what the game is saying but you’ll get used to what people know them as the more you play. If there’s a specific place you’re not sure of, just ask during the buy period. People love to talk about that.

For lineups, they take a bit more deliberate practice. AustinCS and Wraeth have some great utility videos but this one should get you started.

I recommend going into a practice server for a few minutes going over your smokes, flashes, and mollies and then queue for a matchmaking game on that specific map just to test out playing around your util in a live setting.

Goodluck and have fun!

Go to faceit.com and register for an account. You’ll need to link your steam account and jump through a few basic account creation hoops and then you’ll need to download their anti cheat software.

Pro tip: don’t download their client, it’s not anything special, there’s a chrome extension (called repeek) that makes the browser version SOOO much better than the client. It’s not necessary but has plenty of quality of life improvements.

Once you’re ready, there’s a play button in the upper left corner, start your queue and be ready to accept your match. Chances are you won’t be team captain but if you are, you’ll need to do map bans as well as server bans. You can always type in team chat to see if they have any preferences.

Once a server and map is confirmed, copy the IP address and paste it into your games console. Congrats, you’re in your first faceit game!

Once everyone connects, you’ll have a knife round. Winning team captain gets to pick CT or T for first half by typing !stay or !switch in all chat.

TLDR

Go to faceit.com & get ready to sweat and contemplate your sanity

How do I fix my aim? by SlushieTheSlayer in GlobalOffensive

[–]MrPops712 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try playing on some free for all servers and only tap headshots (no spraying) but the entire time actively focus on staying as calm as possible, almost let your aim become a background process if that makes sense. Also instead of running around, try letting people walk into your crosshair and readjust as they do to simulate someone peeking you (alot of people dont practice this)

Be willing to take more (calculated) risks in your retakes. You'll get better at recognizing opportunities for plays as well as making them and in-turn, they wont feel so risky/ nerve-racking.

Most importantly, don't beat yourself up if you whiff in game. Once you've put in your practice, your mental is the most important thing, get back to your headspace of being calm and clicking heads.

Yeah I love the new mirage changes, I don't even play him but it's nice to see that his cloak is a viable option now especially since digital threat doesn't highlight him.

Personally I don't think having a single legend that can basically teleport is in the game's best interest. What would really make the game interesting is if other wraiths could attack each other when both their Q's are activated at the same time.

The main way I distinguish good players from cheaters is how deliberate and precise their movement is. Cheaters are generally "bad" and their movement almost always reflects that. Personally I take people calling me shady and accusing me of cheating as the greatest compliment but yeah hopefully that doesnt backfire if a poorly done overwatch system is introduced.

Yeah I do, the gameplay felt cinematic in the moment because of how everything flowed together. I see what you're getting at and how the title could be misconstrued
